Chapter 14: Extermination 1/2
'This is getting annoying.'
Chris had to load his save file once again as Regulus used his authority to freeze the air he had been breathing causing an attack so powerful that it was able to cause half of his body to be torn to shreds.
'I have to go pure offense and not give him enough time to react!'
*WHOOSH!*
He dashed towards Regulus with his maximum speed trying to get to the archbishop before he could react, but sadly for Chris Regulus isn't one of the strongest archbishops for nothing.
"A good try but still too slow!"
As Chris got closer to Regulus he felt the whole front of his body begin to burst and thanks to pure instinct he was able to load a save file quick enough to escape the effect of Regulus's authority.
'So this is what it feels like...'
Chris dashed towards Regulus once again before conjuring multiple DT blasters around him to fire towards Regulus who didn't even look worried, he appeared informt of Regulus with a fist infused with his DT but before he could even land a hit he felt his arm being crushed.
"It's futil-"
But before Regulus could say anything Chris appeared behind him fully healed with him pointing at Regulus with his hand in the shape of a finger gun, and at the tip of it was a condensed ball of DT.
'Too fight someone strong!'
*BOOOOM!!!*
The blast covered Regulus who believed that his authority would protect him but sadly for him it only reduced the damage he took as the dust began to clear up Regulus could be seen standing with his clothes ruined and face bleeding.
"Tell me, how did you do that?"
Regulus questioned Chris as he wipes the blood of his face with a handkerchief he had in his pocket.
"Simple I copied someone who was considered the strongest of his time."
As he cracked his knuckles chris began to gathe DT energy through every muscle in his body and started to form a weapon, but instead of a Knife, Spear, or a Sword he began morphing two sets of chains one in each hand as they wrapped around his whole arm.
'I don't know his weakness and his ability is broken as hell, but unlike him I can fight as long as I want!'
Seeing how Chris formed the chains Regulus finally looked serious as he stomped on the ground causing it to crack making dirt fling up, in an instant he grabbed the dirt before dashing towards Chris.
*WHOOSH!!!*
Chris dashed back avoiding a wave of dirt that was sent towards him and the place he stood previously was turned to a mess as Regulus used his authority to 'Freeze' the dirt he had fling effectively causing a wave of destruction.
'I didn't just form these chains for show.'
Chris pulled the chains on his left arm that had wrapped itself on Regulus's leg without the arch bishop noticing, and as he was being pulled by Chris he countered by throwing more dirt at him thinking he would let go to block.
But instead using the chains on his right arm he began forming sharp objects on the shape of knives along the structure of the chain before using it as a whip to attack Regulus.
*CRACK!*
The sound of the chain cracking like a whip was all Regulus heard before he saw multiple blades launch at him along with his attack of dirt to be destroyed which he didn't expect, Regulus always believed that as long as he was using his authority anything he would use it on would not only be deadly but when he uses It on himself it would basically freeze them causing no harm to be done to them.
But sadly for him Chris was his perfect counter as his attacks may seem to only attack the physical aspect of a person but it also attacks their spiritual aspect specifically their soul, so if Chris were to fight someone with their souls torn apart or being shared to someone else he could still harm them and effectively kill them without harming the person who shares a piece of their soul unless it's required.
'Concentrate, condense the energy instead of releasing it as an arc!'
All this time when attacking someone weaker than him Chris would make blaster to release waves and arcs of his DT as they were faster, but in return they weren't that strong against someone who could handle the damage or in this situation flat out negate and ignore it.
But thanks to his younger self being a massive fanboy of multiple manga's and anime he spent around 2 years of his childhood learning how to copy abilities from the world of not only jujutsu kaisen but as well as a few other piece's of fiction, so Chris got in a stance before running his DT through his body enhancing his strength.
"Finally getting serious Regulus?"
"If someone of your annoying existence was able to do this to me, then I shouldn't hold back now should I?"
*WHOOSH!*
With his speed Chris was able to land a kick directly at Regulus's head causing it to snap and turn in a ninety degree angle before snapping back to this original place, while Regulus ok the other hand counter attacked by impaling Chris with his hand effectively turning him into a human donut.
[LOAD: SAVE FILE 2]
Using a load Chris was able to appear directly a few feet behind Regulus who quickly turned and kicked up multiple pebbles on the ground and sent them towards Chris while using his authority to 'Freeze' them.
*PUUCHI!*
The result was Chris behing bombarded by a barrage of indestructible pebbles that pierced through his skin, but that didn't stop him from loading right after they passed through their body 'healing' him. After not being able to grab Regulus in the span of the whole fight Chris was finally able to grab his face before activating his new semi-overwrite ability giving Regulus one simple command.
[COMMAND: TERMINATE LYE BATENKAITOS]
This command took all of his 'Percentage' but Chris didn't need it as before the command would start to wear off he will kill Regulus by directly targeting the floating white heart that was oozing purple energy that was in his hands, he liked this feature as he may not be able to command Regulus any further but he would be able to do a 100% on him.
"This feels too easy..."

If you all think that Regulus wouldn't be beaten that easily you would be right, but sadly all of the attacks Chris sent at him damaged his soul just enough for him to land his Semi-Overwrite on him similar to how Cross would take control of Underfell Sans. And Regulus is known for underestimating his opponents and being caught off guard a lot.

'Damn my old age!'
Wilhelm was panting as he parried and more of Lye's attacks as he gave time for Felix to heal Crusche who was on the ground with a severed arm being reattached, Meanwhile Beatrice was trying her best to help Wilhelm by trying to send multiple waves of fire and I've towards Lyr who would dodge them with ease.
The reason for this was because what they didn't know was that Lye's gains the experience of those he would 'eat' so right now they were fighting someone with the experience of more than a thousand people.
"Can't you just all stay still!, I haven't been this hungry in a long long time!"
Lye dashed towards Wilhelm while simultaneously dodging and weaving the waves of magic Beatrice would send at him, but before he could reach the old man he had to instinctively dodge a wave of water that sent towards him and the place he was previously in was reduced to rubble.
"Sorry about taking so long Beatrice."
Chris appeared behind Beatrice panting her head to which she replied with smacking his arm away before looking at one of their attackers who now had a White 'X' with red outlines covering his face.
"I suppose you have something to do with this?"
"Yeah, it won't last long though I can feel my grip on his soul loosening but at least we can take this other guy down quite easily now."
Without saying anything else Chris dashed towards Lye while forming multiple chains that originated from his back and tried impaling Lye with one of them, but sadly for him Lye instead used them as an advantage and started running along then making his way towards Chris.
Chris was surprised by Lye's speed and was sent hurling towards Wilhelm who was sable to catch him, Meanwhile Lye licked his left palm before smirking.
"Chris Dreamurr!"
But instead of the intended out come he wanted he began feeling nauseous before gaging and vomiting all over the ground, taking this chance Beatrice began forming multiple magic circles before chanting.
"Al Goa!"
Beatrice sent a huge ball of fire towards Lye who was barely able to counter attack by using Huna to cast a water barrier around him but that wasn't enough to fully protect him from the fire ball, now he was covered in multiple burnsthat were slowly healing before slowly turning to Chris who was disting himself off.
"W-What the hell! Your name in your citizenship is Chris Dreamurr why didn't it work!"
Chris was confused by what he meant before remembering to what Regulus said earlier about Lye being 'Gluttony' and not only that he remembered what happened to the original Rem from the main timeline.
'He sent me flying with his Left hand and he licked his left palm before saying my name, so that's how he does it.'
He looked at Lye who began getting up before looking at the daggers strapped in each of his arms before looking Chris with rage.
"EL HUMA!"
Multiple spikes of ice started forming around Lye as they were sent towards everyone in the surrounding area but before they could get close to them all of them seem to have frozen in place before shattering, this was thanks to a still Semi-Overwriten Regulus who dashed towards Lye with Chris and Wilhelm right behind him.
"Keep up old man."
"Respect your elders boy!"
Chris began forming string's made of PATIENCE before using it to try and keep Lye in place, but Lye reacted fast enough to cut all the strings before sending a kick directly at Chris who didn't need to dodge as Regulus blocked Lye's kick before grabbing Lye's leg.
*SHING!!!*
But before he could activate his Authority Lye cut off his off own leg before stabbing Regulus in the chest while simultaneously dodging Wilhelm's strikes.
'So a controlled Regulus isn't as powerful as the real thing.'
Chris used the strings to surround everything within a 50 Meter Radius effectively making a barrier around them not allowing Lye to escape, Lye tried jumping out of the zone but due to the fact that he only had one leg he couldn't kick off the ground strong enough.
"Damn it!, the hell did you do to Regulus!"
Lye removed the dagger on his left hand before attaching a chain he took out from no where to the end of it, Wilhelm saw this and began his advance by releasing multiple waves of sword slashes to which Lye dodge all of them while counter attacking with his 'new' weapon.
"Old man don't let him touch you with his left hand!"
Chris yelled at Wilhelm who nodded before getting up close with Lye by enhancing his body with Mana, but due to the extensive strain on his gate he could feel himself getting slower and slower.
Lye saw this as a chance and tried touching Wilhelm but what he didn't expect was Regulus ripping his left arm off by causing a gust of wind by waving his arm, this single act made Lye worry as without his left arm he couldn't use his main ability.
"DAMN IT DAMN IT DAMN IT!"
Despite Lye having consumed the knowledge and abilities of many of his foes he couldn't keep up with fighting 3 people that could easily land a hit on him.
'I should have aimed for this old man before the green haired wench!'
Lye knew he couldn't keep fighting any longer but he quickly took noticed of the 'X' surrounding Regulus's face starting to get smaller and smaller.
'I'll just have to buy some time!'
*TING!*
Lye blocked the strike from Wilhelm's sword but he couldn't block Chris who now aimed at his side with a small dagger he had formed using DT, Lye no longer had a left arm so he could only take the hit and reduce the damage by clenching his muscles.
But with his remaining leg he leaped of Wilhelm barely dodging Regulus who tried decapitating him while the dagger that Chris used to stab him wa still embedded in his sides, but as he was in air he started gathering Mana before looking at the three with a crazed smile.
"LUNAR ECLIPSE!"

Yo it's me the author, don't worry it may seem that Regulus and Lye will be easily beaten and Chris and Beatrice will move on to the next target but that's far from the case, I hope you all enjoy this short chapter of only 2.2k words but I'm releasing the next chapter soon I just have to fix some stuff.
