In the dense jungle, wild beasts prowled, concealed danger and threat lurking everywhere, the air heavy with moisture and the scent of blood, pervading the surroundings.
In such an environment, Amalia managed to advance from level one to level two in just three days, faster than her anticipated five days, thanks to the forest's rich natural energy.
The more primal the forest, the denser the spiritual energy. With the array she set up, spiritual energy poured in, not only pushing her to peak level one but also consolidating her level two cultivation.
She even had a hunch that if he continued practicing here for another month, breaking through to level two wouldn't be an issue, but she couldn't afford to stay longer.
With only ten days left until her scheduled meeting with Arthur, she had to return to Big Apple City. She couldn't shake the suspicion that Arthur might target her original foster parents.
Amalia cleared the ashes around her, rearranged the array, and spent five more days improving her cultivation. The remaining time was entirely devoted to crafting.
After reaching level two, her strength had increased enough for her to craft intermediate level artifacts.
He had planned for this even before arriving and had purchased a large amount of crafting materials from Boss Zenon, each with various attributes.
Out of the ten sets of crafting materials, he failed twice but successfully crafted eight intermediate level artifacts.
Amalia stood up, a pile of black ashes falling from her body. This time, it was all from failed crafting attempts, including impurities removed from the materials.
Some of it was expelled from her body after her cultivation breakthrough, sticking to her clothes, emitting a foul odor that drove away nearby wild animals. Within a hundred meters, no wild animal dared to approach.
Back to the human city, she had an amusing incident when she went to a hotel for a shower. The first hotel owner asked her to leave because she smelled too bad and might disturb other guests.
The second hotel was run by a kind granpa who, perhaps took pity of her appearance that look like a beggar, so he allowed her to enter for a shower.
However, when she checked out, he kept asking her if he had a boyfriend, where she lived, and so on. He almost held her back and Amalia felt he might resort to anything if his grandson weren't so shy.
On the way to the airport, Amalia placed one of the intermediate level artifacts she had crafted onto the Red Espiritual Net.
It was an earth atttibute artifact with two amulet slots, one for basic level Amulets that could only be earth attribute and another for intermediate level Amulets of any natural element.
Amalia wasn't in the business of customization; the artifacts she crafted were mainly neutral in attributes, appealing to a broader customer base, making them easier to sell.
As for pricing, after participating in the market price, she didn't hesitate to set a high price of six million. After uploading it, she paid little attention and then checked her private messages.
Carlos had sent her several private messages, all of which were ordinary greetings. After replying, she opened other messages and focused on one sent by a user named "Peerless_CucumberX."
[ Shop owner, hello. I've heard that the artifacts you sell here are excellent, and I've come here with high expectations. I'd like to purchase a few artifacts. I wonder if the shop owner has any new artifacts available. Of course, money is not a problem. ]
After a brief moment of consideration, she replied, "What kind of artifacts are you looking for?"
In a house far away, a man's communication device rang with a notification. He opened the notification, and it was a private message chat with Amalia. In order to receive her response as soon as possible, he had set up response reminders. As he read her reply, a gleam appeared in his eyes.
Instead of immediately responding to Amalia, the man dialed a communication number and, when the other party answered, said, "She has responded."
"Very good. Leave her response to you. Don't mess this up. Whether this works out or not depends on you now," the other party's voice was raspy, as if they were using a voice changer.
"I understand, you can trust me," the man replied.
After their communication, the man, who was the user "Peerless_CucumberX," finally responded to Amalia, "It would be great if there are artifacts with attributes like fire, wind, and water."
Soon, she also replied, [ I'm afraid I don't have those. ]
Peerless_CucumberX nearly cursed out loud, wondering if this person was playing games with him. If there weren't any, why ask what kind of artifacts he wanted then?
Despite his frustration, he still replied with a polite tone, "Well, what artifacts do you have? Perhaps you can tell me, and I'll see if there's something I'm interested in."
[ Are you looking for low level weapons or intermediate level weapons? ] she asked.
Peerless_CucumberX's eyes lit up, "Do you have intermediate level weapons?"
[ Yes, I've just acquired a few ]
Peerless_CucumberX immediately noticed a flaw in her response but remained calm as she replied, "Could you please introduce the artifacts you mentioned?"
[ I just uploaded them. You can go and have a look ] she responded.
Peerless_CucumberX immediately switched to check the information about the artifacts. However, before he could even read the details, someone had already placed an order for the artifact ahead of him.
Peerless_CucumberX was flabbergasted, not because someone had beaten him to it but because of the price. Selling an intermediate level artifact for six million was daylight robbery!
He hesitated; according to their plan, they only needed to spend six million. Now, one artifact was already costing six million, and three of them would amount to nearly eighteen million.
It was not a small sum, and he couldn't make the decision alone. He opened his communication device and called the other party. An impatient voice came from the other end, "What now?"
Peerless_CucumberX quickly explained the situation, "Eighteen million, is that too much?"

The other party gave a cold chuckle, "A mere eighteen million? What's that? When we gain control of the supply line behind her, we'll have as much money as we want. Comparing eighteen million to the profits from that supply line is like comparing a drop in the ocean. Understand?"
"Okay, okay, I understand," Peerless_CucumberX responded repeatedly.
After ending the call, he immediately found Amalia and said, "Shop owner, I've seen the information about the artifacts you posted. They are exactly what I want, but someone has taken one of the artifacts."
[ I still have more ] she replied.
"That's great. How many artifacts do you have left? I want all of them," Peerless_CucumberX assumed it wouldn't be more than three, and having four intermediate level artifacts was already excellent.
The driver reminded Amalia that they had arrived at the airport.
Amalia read the message and paused before responding, "I have seven."
Peerless_CucumberX nearly fell out of his chair, greedily fixating on the word "seven." Seven artifacts at her selling price meant 42 million. No wonder Francisco had set his sights on this person.
They immediately offered eight artifacts for supply. The scale was definitely not small. Just as Francisco had said, if they could secure this supply line, earning a hundred million a day would be no issue.
The more Peerless_CucumberX thought about it, the more excited he became. He wanted to say he would take all seven, but he was afraid they might not have enough funds. With reluctance, he said, "I'll take three artifacts."
[ No, three is not possible ] she responded with a chime.
Peerless_CucumberX was taken aback. "Why not?"
[ I can only offer a maximum of two artifacts, no more ] she explained.
Peerless_CucumberX gritted his teeth, thinking that whether it was two or three artifacts, it would still serve their purpose. He agreed, saying, "Alright, I accept that condition. But here's one more condition."
[ What is it? ] she inquired.
"I request that the two artifacts not be shipped by courier. They are very valuable, and I'm afraid they might get lost. Instead, I'd like to specify an address. You can leave the artifacts there, and I'll pick them up. What do you think?" he proposed.
Upon reading this, Amalia raised an eyebrow, not giving an immediate response.
Worried he might decline, Peerless_CucumberX sent another message, "As someone in this business, I'm sure you understand the value of these artifacts. I hope you can understand my concern."
Amalia opened her private messages and left a message for Carlos, inquiring about Peerless_CucumberX's reputation.
Carlos replied promptly, "I know this person. He's a longtime user of the Red Espiritual Net, and his reputation for buying and selling is decent. If he were to engage in any shady business or tamper with transactions, it would tarnish his reputation on the Red Espiritual Net. The Red Espiritual Net also doesn't allow users to have multiple accounts or aliases unless they're family members."
"I see. Thanks," she replied.
Amalia then responded to Peerless_CucumberX, agreeing to his request, "Alright, we'll still finalize the transaction on the Red Espiritual Net. Please place your order."
Peerless_CucumberX cursed the merchant under his breath but reluctantly accepted. He really didn't want to part with this 12 million, and he still hoped to recover this money.
Having convinced the other party to agree to a real life transaction was a challenge. He couldn't afford to mess this up, or Francisco wouldn't forgive him.
