Chapter 48: War Continues part 2, Phoenix Tears
(Omni pov)
While Maki was exorcising curses she wasn't the only one, Panda and Toge where there as well .
Panda was in his Gorilla form jumping from building to buildings like king kong going after curses, he then jumped down into a curse crushing it to death and started running towards more second grade curses.
Meanwhile Toge was running around being bait for curses and once he would group them together he would simply say "Die" killing all of them. He can now do it multiple times due to his training making his throat go through less strain.
While Toge finished clearing up the curses he recently gather up, he didn't notice a curse with long claws running towards him in a quick manner until it was too late, with a slashing motion the curse slashed at Toge's chest ripping it apart and leaving claw marks on it with blood dripping out
Toge jumped back while holding his chest and blood dripping out and proceeded to shout "STOP" but the curse was very quick on it's feet and managed to dodge it and started swiping it's claws all over Toge leaving him all bloody and with scratch marks all over his body
"TWISTED" said Toge with a bit of difficulty as an arm of the curse spirit started twisting upon itself and rip out of its shoulder.
"ROOOAAAARRRR"
The curse spirit now in great pain started getting more ferocious it started swiping at Toge with reckless abandon. With a big overhanded swipe the curse managed to scratch Toge from the left side of his face all the way to the right side of his torso. It was so bad that Toge's left eyeball suffered heavy damages making him blind from his left eye.
Now that the curse was right infront of him with that move Toge just shouted "Die" with panting breaths, making the curse explode leaving nothing behind but scattered dust
With heavy breathing Toge sat on the ground with a hand over his missing eye and as his rapid breathing slow down he reached out a hand into his pocket and pulled out a tiny flask with a single clear droplet inside it.
----Flashback before the war----
Ash can be seen in the classroom with all of his classmates and they were having a meeting about the war that's about to happen any minute now
Ash then took out eight tiny flask and presented them to the group
"Here there's two drops for each one of you, it'll heal you back up to peak condition, but only use it for emergencies, these things are hard to produce"
"Will this even work for someone like me" Panda ask shocked when he saw that Ash was also giving him one
"Yup, those are what I like to call Phoenix Tears, don't ask how I produced them cause I ain't telling" Ash said responding to Panda's question
The others hearing what type of item Ash was given them were quite shocked and they expressed their thanks
"You can either ingest it or apply it to the wound directly and it'll still heal your whole body, as for how it works even I don't know just think of it as a mythical elixir" Ash explained.
---Flashback End---
Toge remembering the conversation they had simply opened the flask and drank the tiny droplet.
And as he put it in his mouth and swallowed it steam started to appear on his wounds and they started to close, a larger amount of steam started coming out of his left eye as it started to regenerate, all the curse energy he used up since the beginning of the fight also returned back to full and with that Toge was soon brought back to his peak like he just entered the war
Now that he was back to his peak Toge started running around exorcising more curses.
Back onto Ash, Ash can be seen in the same position since the fight between Geto and Yuta started, watching everything from the roof top with his cold eyes
Yuta ran towards Geto getting out of the ring of fire and slashed his sword towards him cutting him diagonally leaving a mark exposing his chest.
The nurse like curse spirit was about to heal Geto again but was unable to due to Rika's interference. Rika simply grabbed it and ripped it in half as it started to turn into dust.
Geto seeing this just simply clicked his tongue as he started summoning more curse, Yuta was not about to let Geto continue and started to attack him, giving him injuries but Geto managed to block most of them with playful cloud and retaliate giving Yuta injuries as well
Rika then quickly appeared behind Geto and punched him on his back sending him flying towards Yuta who managed to cut him across his torso leaving behind a diagonal scar with blood flowing out with it, Geto continued flying and crash into the walls.
Geto who smashed into the wall was soon buried by rubble and as he was coming he started to use reverse curse energy to heal his wounds completely
Seeing this Ash raised a brow and thought 'That's new, I'm pretty sure he wasn't able to use reverse curse energy. Did he recently learn it or something just for this fight' Ash seeing that Geto was back to full health also wanted to fight him.
"Yuta switch with me I also want to have some fun" Ash said tired of waiting
"But Ash-senpai it hasn't even been that long since I started to fight just a few more moves exchange please" Yuta pleaded
Ash in return just sighed "Fine but you only get a few more minutes
Yuta just nodded as he turned his attention back to Geto and with a smile said "Looks like we only have a few minute together, let's make it count shall we?"
Geto only seemed more displease at being treated like this "Fine but I'll make sure you suffer for such insolence"
Geto then shot off towards Yuta while skillfully maneuvering along playful cloud and started smashing it against Yuta but Yuta managed to block it with his sword
Which then Rika tried to attack Geto again but he managed to react this time and swing playful cloud right across her face sending her flying towards the different buildings in campus
Seeing that Rika wasn't there to interfere Geto got more and more aggressive while swinging playful cloud it got to the point where all Yuta can do while being attacked is defend
Yuta then quickly dropped to the ground and swept Geto's leg making him fall, Yuta then got on top of him and started to punch Geto with his curse enhanced fist, punch after punch blood started coming out of Geto's nose and mouth
Geto then summoned a monkey like curse spirit that punched Yuta off him and he went smashing into a wall where Rika quickly appeared before him
Yuta then started gathering a large amount of curse energy but was quickly stopped by a hand on his shoulder
Yuta quickly look towards the owner of the hand but calmed down he realized it was only Ash.
"Thats enough it's my turn now I'm pretty sure you already had your fun I mean look at the floor where you started pummeling Geto in the face, there's blood everywhere, a few missing teeth, and the floor is slightly caved in where his head was supposed to be."
Yuta just smiled at it, and nodded in understanding.
"Rika that's enough let's retreat for a while"
"Wait, instead of staying here and doing nothing why don't you go to Shinjuku Tokyo and help the others finish everything much quicker"
Yuta put on a pondering expression, on one hand he wants to watch how this fight is going to turn out but on the other hand his friends might need help finishing everything quicker.
With a sigh Yuta just agree thinking that helping his friends is much more important.
Ash simply waved a hand as a portal appeared.
Yuta then simply went into the portal and disappeared alongside Rika leaving Ash alone with Geto and while Yuta and Ash were discussing what to do, Geto was healing himself from Yuta's previous beating.
Once fully healed Geto started to summon a large amount of Curses with different types of looks and abilities
Ash seeing this just put his hands together in a bird shape and said "Curse Technique Reversal, War: One Man Army"
Ash's green flames then started to appear all around the battlefield and started to transform into soldiers with armors and swords
'Metis control them and fight all the curse he summons'
[It shall be done sir]
Although summoning 100 soldiers was taxing on his curse energy Ash was able to manage due to his infinite loop of curse energy
Ash and Geto stood face to face while behind them their army stood as if waiting for orders
Geto just smiled "You're simply unbelievable you know that, with you on my side we could kill all the monkeys that infect this world and make a world where our people don't have to die just to protect these useless monkeys"
Ash just shakes his head as he got into a combat position "No thanks, the moment you opened your mouth to insult my girl was the moment you became my enemy for life"
Geto just tsk "You would rather let these monkeys continue to poison this world and let young jujutsu sorcerers kill themselves just to protect these monkeys than help me just because I insulted that girl"
Ash's eyes then grew cold and burned a bright purple and said "The whole world could burn for all I care as long as she's safe"
Geto frowned at that "You love stricken fool"
And with that they both started running at each other and so has their army
