As I stood there, my tears refused to stop. They kept dripping down my cheeks like a relentless rain, as my eyes stayed glued to the door. I couldn't help but hold onto a sliver of hope, maybe, just maybe, she would come back through it and wrap me in a comforting hug.

Then, out of nowhere, I sensed a comforting warmth, a gentle hand resting on my shoulder. Startled, I turned around, and there was Juan. His eyes were filled with concern, and without saying a word, he drew me into his arms.I couldn't hold back. I broke down completely then, letting my tears soak his shirt as he held me, a silent pillar of support.
