Chapter 42: Growing

After Melon learned to crawl, she became much more active. Often, Hana would lose sight of her for just a moment, and Melon would be gone.

Just a minute ago, she would be sitting at Hana's feet, chewing on a fluffy rabbit toy, and the next, she would have disappeared without a trace.

Once, Melon crawled all the way from the living room to the toilet door in the bedroom. If Hana hadn't found her quickly, Melon might have gone inside the bathroom.

Usually, Hana could find Melon by standing on the couch and looking behind it. Melon would often be there, trying to squeeze her head into the gap behind the couch, as if she wanted to fit herself into it.
