Chapter 75: Chapter 75: Edict From the East Kingdom

PRINCE ULYSSES’S POV

I was in the royal office with Kloud when the royal edict from the East Kingdom arrived. As the guard read it out loud, we both cursed in anger. King Astaroth had declared war and demanded we return Princess Rae for her mother's funeral. We had one week to do so before they marched to the border to attack.

“Is that all?” Kloud raised his eyebrows.

“That is all that is written in the edict, Crown Prince.” The guard bowed. Kloud raised his hand dismissively and he rushed out of the royal office.

“You are getting scarier by the day,” I chuckled.

“I doubt that I evoke any emotions of fear with you,” Kloud chuckled.

There was a knock on the door and then Prince Marrok walked in. “Greetings, Crown Prince and Grand Prince.”

“To what do we owe this pleasure, Uncle?” Kloud drawled.
