“It will be an honour.” I bowed to Uncle Marrok. “My duty has been to protect the Lykos Lycan. His awakening is significant to Lyakris Lycan as his deputy commander. And of course, his cousin.”

“You have been a good son, Randale. King Godric will restore your title once all this is over. It has taken long but you needed to be protected after your parents passed on.”

“I know. I have all the faith in King Godric and never doubted him,” I nodded.

“If that is the case, what has bothered you?” Uncle Marrok placed an arm on my shoulder.

“Vuk,” I stated simply.

Uncle Marrok laughed and retorted, “He is just being a young adult.”

“That is not what I mean,” I murmured.

Uncle Marrok's eyes bore into mine, and I looked away in shame.

“You mean the fact that the King and Queen asked you to take him as your brother. You are wondering where he came from and why you were asked to raise him?” Uncle Marrok supplied.
