Chapter 117: Confession?

As Malachi was engrossed in his thoughts, Leo's voice reached his ears.

"Sir," Leo called out, and Malachi turned to glance at him.

What's wrong with him? Malachi thought when he saw how Leo was acting beside him.

At first, Leo had his gaze on him, but when Malachi turned to glance at him, he immediately lowered it. If this action was not odd enough, Malachi caught him opening his mouth slightly several times before closing them again.

Leo seemed to have something he wanted to say to Malachi but was hesitant about it. The expression on his face as he avoided staring back at Malachi proved it.

Malachi wondered what was going on. He was just about to open his mouth and address Leo when he caught the latter getting ready to speak again.

"Can I ask you a question, sir?" Leo inquired.

Hearing this, Malachi immediately became alert and raised his guard a little.
