Chapter 116: Could Be Arranged

The paladin wanted to talk. Armen dragged me into a private room with just the three of us.

"I understand why she's here, but what about you?" I said. "Are you going to stay here to try and kill me when I let my guard down? Because let me tell you-"

"No. I… can I join you?"

Paladins.

Paladins were elites of the elites of the elites. At a young age, thousands of children are chosen based on their potential and they all go through rigorous training. Both physical and spiritual. Only the ones with good heart and loyalty get chosen. These children get to be knights. The bests of these knights get to be holy knights and receive further training. It wasn't clear or made public just what sort of training and dedication one needed to be a paladin but they had to be powerful. Really powerful.
