"Is this what you just drew?"
Looking at a version of herself adjusting her headphone position, Miku couldn't believe she had drawn it in such a short time.
Ren had just uttered one sentence, and he finished painting.
Although his drawing was simple, was it too fast?
"Yes." Ren took an ice cream from his hand and continued to hand matcha soda with the other hand. "It's different from now, can you accept it?"
"Um."
Miku took the drink with a simple drawing of herself from his hand.
She clearly didn't mean it like that now. She just wanted Ren to accept two cans of drinks. She didn't intend to let him modify the drinks before giving them to her.
She really didn't know how he understood this meaning.
Though her understanding was fair.
"Um."
Seeing her accept, Ren took another can of matcha soda.
"Let's go, I'll continue to walk you home."
"Okay."
Holding cans and drinks in one hand, and holding ice cream in the other hand, Miku followed Ren as they continued their journey home.
After taking a small bite of matcha ice cream in her hand, she looked again at the simple drawing on the sticky note.
"Ren, did you learn it from reading the [Simple Drawing Kindergarten] book?" After observing for a moment, she asked again.
"Yes." Ren answered honestly.
"I thought the book only taught how to draw small animals and the like. It seems I underestimated it." Miku said emotionally.
"That's not entirely true. I played a role in it too."
As Miku said, the book taught some very simple things, but relying on his talent, it was very easy for Ren to draw conclusions from one example to another.
"Ren, you're amazing."
"That book is good."
Ren surely wouldn't admit it.
"That's overboard, Ren."
After complaining about his changed words, Miku continued to chat with him about other topics.
School wasn't far from Nakano's house, and it didn't take long to walk.
She had already eaten all ice cream on the way, but the matcha soda remained in her hand even without being opened.
"Do you want to come up and sit?"
Seeing Ren about to turn and leave, Miku invited him.
"No, there's something I have to do when I get home."
Ren refused.
"In that case, can you draw another simple drawing for me? Just like this one."
Miku lifted the matcha soda can and shook it towards him.
"Sure."
Ren had no reason to refuse such a simple request.
"Still drawing?"
After letting Miku hold the matcha soda can, Ren took out a marker and sticky note from his pocket again and asked.
"You." Miku replied softly.
"My drawing?"
Ren was stunned.
"Yes, just draw it quickly."
"Okay."
Although Ren was a little confused by her request, since he agreed, he would surely do it well.
It didn't take long to draw Ren's mini version holding his glasses.
After tearing off the sticky note and taking the matcha soda can from his hand, she put it on and handed it back to Miku.
"Here."
"Eh? I just wanted the sticky note, not the drink." Miku unconsciously refused.
"Sorry, my mistake."
As Ren was about to tear the sticky note, Miku's voice was heard again.
"How about you give it to me along with the drink."
After saying this, Miku lowered her head in embarrassment.
She just said not to give it like that, and now she regretted it so quickly, it was too embarrassing.
"Sure."
So, Ren stopped what he was doing and handed it back to Miku.
"Thank you, next time I'll give you a can too."
Seeing two cans of matcha soda stacked in her hands, Miku explained to him very seriously.
Originally, she wanted to give both cans to Ren, but in the end, she kept them all.
"Okay, I'll remember that." Ren replied, then asked, "Is there anything else? If not, I'll leave."
"Not anymore." Miku shook her head.
"Goodbye then."
After saying goodbye, Ren turned and left.
"Goodbye."
After seeing him disappear from her sight, Miku walked towards the building.
After carefully opening the door and making sure there were no sisters in the living room, Miku entered.
She still held the History of Warring States borrowed from the library in her hand, and she couldn't be found by her sister.
For this reason, she didn't even say "I'm back".
Taking off her shoes, Miku ran upstairs.
After opening the door and entering her room, she sighed with relief.
Currently, she still hid it well, and her sister hadn't found out the secret that she liked the history of the Warring States Period.
Putting the History of Warring States on the bookshelf, Miku turned her attention to the two cans of matcha soda with sticky notes attached to Ren's sketch.
After carefully looking around her room for a moment, she finally chose a good location – next to the computer monitor.
After placing the two drink cans so that the side with the sticky notes faced her, Miku nodded very satisfied, then leaned back in her chair and pondered the future.
······
And on the other side.
After parting with Miku, Ren didn't linger outside but went straight home.
Entering his room, he usually shouted "I'm back" then sat in front of the table.
Preparing some envelopes and sheets of paper, Ren began to think about the right way to write.
Yes, that's what he did when he got home.
Write a letter to Gabriel and ask if she wanted to go to the water park with him.
