"What happened to Gabriel?"
Ren was slightly surprised to see her lying on the table and not paying attention.
"She couldn't sleep well last night and is sleeping now."
Vigne left Gabriel and approached Ren to explain.
"She couldn't sleep well?"
Ren was puzzled.
He knew nothing about Gabriel's sleeping habits, and they often slept together.
Rarely had he seen someone so sleep-deprived.
Was it because of him?
Vigne returned to her seat without saying anything more.
"Kamikawa-san, good morning."
As he pondered, Itsuki's voice came from behind.
"Good morning."
Ren turned around and replied.
After showering at Rizu's house, they parted ways and each chose to go home and change.
It was impossible to come to school without wearing the uniform, let alone carrying a school bag.
Realizing that Itsuki didn't return to her seat and kept staring at him, Ren asked confusedly, "Is there something on my face?"
"Nothing. I suddenly thought of something, and my attention was unintentionally diverted." Itsuki scratched her cheek awkwardly and explained in a low voice.
"Um."
Ren trusted her explanation, so he returned to his seat and sat down without asking anything else.
When Itsuki saw him sitting, she followed suit and kept staring at him without looking away.
...
Afternoon.
Gabriel brought a chair and placed it next to Ren's desk. Then, she took out two lunch boxes from her school bag and handed one to him.
"For you."
"Um."
Ren didn't expect Gabriel to prepare lunch for him, especially since he didn't come back last night.
When Gabriel sat down, Vigne asked with concern, "Gab, how are you? Are you feeling better?"
"Not bad, I slept through the morning."
Gabriel answered while opening lunch box.
There were no important classes this morning, so she slept soundly in one breath, making up for the sleep she missed last night.
"Gab, you should take care of your health and stop staying up late." Vigne said seriously.
"Yeah, yeah."
Gabriel responded indifferently.
"Haaa."
Vigne sighed helplessly. There was no way she could convince Gabriel to listen to her about this matter.
After eating their bentos for a while, Vigne thought of something and invited, "By the way, Gab, I'll treat you to dinner this weekend."
"Inviting us to meal? Why?"
Gabriel didn't understand.
She didn't mind letting Vigne treat her to a meal, but it would be a bit suspicious if she wanted to treat them to meal without a clear reason.
It was all Raphiel's fault that made her so cautious.
"Of course, because of the one million yen. After all, you took a lot of credit for that money." Vigne said.
"Fine, then I want barbecue."
After learning the reason, Gabriel accepted her invitation to treat them and began to make choices.
"As for what to eat, let's ask Raphi and Satania for their opinions." Vigne didn't immediately agree. "I also plan to invite both of them."
"I have no problem with Raphi. But why are you inviting Satania? To cause trouble?" Gabriel complained.
Vigne said helplessly, "Gab, don't have big problems with Satania. She's actually a good kid."
"I didn't notice at all." Gabriel yawned. "By the way, you're treating us, so you can do whatever you want. I don't mind."
"Kamikawa, do you have time this weekend?"
After convincing Gabriel, Vigne looked at Ren.
"Some."
Hanging out with Hayasaka and going to a cafe would take up most of his time, and the remaining time could be used for Vigne's appointment.
"That's good. Now only Raphi and Satania are left."
Vigne looked very happy to see him agree.
Gabriel didn't speak and continued eating, but her eyes often glanced at Ren.
...
Time passed, and it was already evening.
"Will you come back tonight?"
Before Ren left, Gabriel stopped him and confirmed in a low voice.
"I will." Ren firmly agreed.
He wasn't staying outside now, so how could he not come back?
"Then come back earlier tonight and don't feel like last night again." Gabriel couldn't help but remind him.
"I won't."
"Okay, let's go."
Gabriel waved her hand and let him go.
After leaving school, on the way to Nakano's house, Itsuki said with a sigh, "Kamikawa-san and Gabriel-san have a very good relationship."
"Because we're good friends." Ren replied.
Fumino took over the conversation and asked with a smile, "Good friends? Then what kind of relationship do we have with you, Kamikawa-san? Friends or classmates?"
Hearing that, Itsuki, Rizu, and Asumi perked up their ears and listened carefully.
Ren said without hesitation, "Friends."
"One word less favorable than Gabriel-san." Fumino casually remarked, then asked, "Kamikawa-san, in your opinion, what is the difference between good friends and friends?"
"There are many differences." Ren whispered.
"For example?"
"I will be very kind to my good friends and help them in many ways."
After thinking for a moment, Ren answered quite seriously.
After all, he was usually very kind to Gabriel, right?
"What about friends?" Fumino asked.
"I will help them in many ways."
"It feels good to have one friend who is not so good." Itsuki said softly.
Fumino took advantage of the situation and asked, "Kamikawa-san, how good are you to your good friends?"
"I can't say, but it's good."
Ren wanted to describe it in words, but unfortunately, his language ability was limited, and he couldn't think of a suitable explanation.
Seeing Ren like this, Fumino found him very interesting, especially when he spoke seriously about the difference between good friends and friends.
Just as Fumino was about to say something else to end this topic, Itsuki said, "Then how can I become your good friend?"
"Hm?"
Hearing her question, Fumino stared at Itsuki and found that she was looking at Ren, completely unaware that she was staring at her.
It seemed like she was very concerned about this matter.
After thinking for a moment, Ren understood the purpose of her question and affirmed, "Do you want to be my good friend?"
