Chapter 65: She Was Alone

Edric refused to cry again for a woman who didn't even have the humanity to visit him when he almost died. Someone who never even really cared about him. 

If it was him, even if for instance he did not love Loreen throughout their marriage, he would have still rushed to the hospital see her. 

He would have cared enough about whether she lives or dies because they lived together for three years.

'Damn it!' Edric held his head. He accidentally gave a bit of pressure and it hurt.

"Sir, please don't touch your head. Your injuries haven't completely healed yet," Leo reminded. "Does it hurt? Should I call the doctor?"

"No, I'm fine," he sighed deeply.

Edric's head, chest, and his whole body hurt. It felt like his life was being sucked out of him and he was left with a huge gaping hole.

He had never felt so disappointed in someone this much before. Now, he knew that his decision to divorce Loreen was right.
