"What?! Why would you do that?" Loreen frowned at her now ex-husband.

"I don't even know if you are alive or dead. You want me to just do nothing?!" Edric glared at her as if it was her fault she was suddenly out of reach.

If he hadn't furiously asked her for divorce on their wedding anniversary, they would have stayed in contact with each other when they were husband and wife.

'Just what is he expecting from me? He asked me for divorce, but he wants me to stay in contact with him, is he crazy?! Can't I be entitled to a time for myself to heal and be able to move on?!'

She was getting upset with Edric.

Why would he even worry about her if he truly thought she was just after alimony from him?

Or he did not want to be blamed in case something happened to her, so he took the trouble of hiring someone to find her?
