Even if it seems hopeless, life still has to go on!"
This sentence now made a lot of sense to Punk. While he was being drawn towards the purple Universe, he realized that there was no such concept as distance in the Void. So, Punk had no way of knowing when he might be swallowed up.
It could be countless years later or it could happen in the next second. Moreover, time did not exist in the Void; numerous years and one second were equally nonexistent. Punk's perception of time was just an illusion create by his soul afterall.
The main problem was that Punk could do absolutely nothing in this whole process. After all, he couldn't think of a way out of this predicament with his very limited mobility...
So, Punk simply gave up and began to study the "system" he had evolved within his soul.
Whenever he closed his eyes and concentrated, the "system" would appear in his mind.
They appeared to be here, yet he could simultaneously see through what was in front of him. There were three options on the interface:
"Information: Record: Analysis:" The information section provided some basic details about Punk; for instance, it currently displayed:
"Name: Punk"
"Gender: None"
"Status: Soul state."
"Race: Void Soul Life Form"
"Physique: None"
"Soul level: ordinary intelligent creature."
Some of this information was obtained through analysis, while Punk himself was aware of some of it.
As the name implies, the analytical ability was the ability to combine information and perform an objective and systematic analysis of the target.
While the recording ability was the ability to accurately record everything that was perceived.
Generally speaking, the system's ability was not that strong. At least it was not as strong as shown in those online novels, those super helpful golden fingers, and their magical abilities that could go against Heaven.
"Sure enough, it's just a byproduct of my soul's evolution. It is impossible to get what you want." To be honest, Punk was somewhat disappointed in this system. But at least, it was better than nothing!
"Let's see how this system performs!" Punk thought about it and issued the first command to the system: "Analyze a way out of my current predicament."
"Mission established: Analyzing the possibility of a successful escape from the grasp of the purple universe."
"Searching through stored memory."
"Simulating feasible methods."
"Simulation completed:
Method One - Wait for Death."
"Method Two - Wait for Death."
"Method Three - Wait for Death."
"The analysis is complete: Unless there's a miracle, the host can only wait for death.
.
"WTF! You actually want your father to wait for death; then why the fuck I will ask you to find a way out If I have to rely on a miracle,"
After journeying through unfathomable mysteries, he ended up with such a seemingly useless system! But what else could he do except wait for his fate? Even his last hope, the "system," had let him down.
Despite his frustration, Punk managed to maintain his composure. There was no point in getting worked up about something entirely beyond his control.
"Well... Let's savor this 'not-so-beautiful' or beautiful scene while I'm still breathing. Even if it's hard to accept, struggling won't change anything anyway. Punk thought with bitterness in his heart.
"And, of course, I still have that legendary miracle to hope for." A touch of optimism welled up in his mind.
"But a miracle was an incredibly elusive thing. When you least expected it, it had a tendency to show up.
"The purple Universe had its fair share of flaws. Even if they were hidden pretty well, a weakness is a weakness. The purple Universe made an effort to steer the 'beings' from the Void away from these vulnerable spots, but there's always that one-in-a-million chance that things could go wrong. Of course, a little mistake was not that threatening to this huge Universe.
"Plus, Purple Universe set up a bunch of death traps at these weak spots, so even if a foreign being entered, it couldn't pass through alive! But again, there was that one-in-a-trillion chance that a "lucky someone" could dodge these hastily set up death traps and actually make it into the Universe. And, through a 'miracle,' Punk became that lucky guy 'one in a trillion'."
It might seem like the one-in-a-trillion odd was too hard, but someone just had to be a little bit luckier to survive than the countless other beings who were also being swallowed.
Even after all of this, if a being with a powerful life force had entered, the Universe would undoubtedly have detected it. However, Punk was currently too weak, so he managed to slip into the purple Universe without getting caught.
"This is..."
Punk found himself in a daze as he entered this entirely new Universe.
He felt like someone was screaming on top of their lungs from the distant horizon
Because Punk was no longer in the Void, where his perception had been suppressed by the wind of assimilation, countless indescribable and incomprehensible things rushed into his mind. Just as Punk was about to realize these mysteries, an ominous feeling suddenly surged from his heart.
"Run... I must run away immediately... Hide... Hide... Hide... or else I will surely die."
"Mixed in... I should mix in; otherwise, I...
The sense of crisis struck suddenly, and Punk had an instinctual awareness of imminent danger. He wasted no time in relying on his intuition, but how could he avoid it?
"System!" As soon as he called the system, it started to do its work.
"Analyzing... the repulsive force of the Universe is now in effect. When this force reaches a certain threshold, the cosmic clean-up mechanism will be initiated."
"Although I might have eventually deduced it through careful observation and analysis, it wouldn't have been as swift or comprehensive as the system's response. So, I guess this system is somewhat useful after all."
Punk playfully teased the system, Which helped ease some of his tension a bit.
"System, find a solution.
"Analyzing..... Analysis complete: The host is advised to promptly establish an 'identity' within this Universe. One potential approach to achieve this is by taking possession of a body from a native lifeform in this Universe. Note: the soul level of the entity being possessed must be lower than that of the host."
"Then let's find a suitable body as soon as possible." Punk could observe many spherical objects,
which seemed like planets, so he chose one that was largest and nearest to him and rushed over to it.
Now Punk was still in a void soul state. So, the plane barriers, which were only effective for blocking existences and things of their native Universes, were not capable to stop him.
Punk was in a hurry when he entered the vast Plane, as the sense of crisis grew stronger with each passing second. Thus, he didn't have the luxury to ponder the oddities of this Plane, such as the square sky or the round earth. He extended his mental perception as far as he could to search for a lifeform with a suitable body for him to possess, all while the urgency of the situation continued to increase."...
Although Punk was a little worried that this world might be without lifeforms. But just after few seconds, he perceived countless lifeforms; most of them had very poor aptitude, some of them had a weird lifestyle, and some were not even intelligent. Seeing this, Punk became a little anxious, "Which one should I choose?"
"System prompt: A mysterious newborn lifeform is discovered, but because of a special force field, the system was unable to fully analyze it. According to the analysis result, it is probably the most outstanding specimen for possession."
"I guess, the bigger the risk, the bigger the reward. Let's just hope the system won't cheat me."
With this thought in mind, Punk made his way toward an inconspicuous green egg emitting a faint green light, well hidden in the jungle.
There was no suspense or thrilling battle between souls; the young soul, just born and neither wise nor powerful, thus he was easily crushed by Punk, who then seized its body.
Simultaneously, when Punk succeeded, the Universe's repulsive force also disappeared without a trace. Now, this new body was equivalent to Punk having an ID card. He had been recognized as a creature of this Universe, but from now on, he was also bound by the laws of this Universe.
He couldn't use his soul's ability like mental perception anymore, and his perceptual power would be just a little better than that of powerhouses at the same level as him.
Moreover, this kind of possession could only be done once; just like an "ID Card," you can't register two.
Not to mention that the Universe would discover everything if it found a soul without a body. In this Universe, there are Gods, and the souls that do not belong to any gods are thrown into the long river of time.
Punk knew all of this because, in this Universe, a magical creature could instinctively learn some information. Such information was engraved in their bloodline. Thanks to this, Punk quickly acquired a lot of information about his body and this world.
However, when he finished checking all the information from the system, his heart immediately became a little uneasy.
"I don't know if it's a blessing or a curse; if it's a curse, then I can't avoid it. So, let's just hope my luck is good like previous time.!"
