"I hope so," Lu Aotian said, his voice tinged with uncertainty. "It was hard to see her so confused and scared. She doesn't even remember the accident."

"Focus on the positive," Mei Xing encouraged. "She's awake and with us. That's already a huge step forward."

"I know. But I really what to know how she fell. I have a gut feeling that it had something to do with Han Eu-meh," he spoke with a frown etched on his face.

Mei Xing's brows furrowed. "Who? Your friend?" She inquired.

"She's not my friend," Lu Aotian corrected and proceeded to explain. "But it was her screams that alerted me and my father. When we got there, she was almost halfway through the stairs with a shocked expression and mum was on the floor with a small pool of blood seeping from her head."
