Chapter 20: A Shaky Trust

"I need you to help me find someone" I gave the little details I knew about Serena's mother to my private investigator.

Wanting to know out of curiosity about what happened to her mother and also to help her find a closure prompted me to engage my P.I. Things between us have been good but I can feel that she wasn't into the relationship wholeheartedly, like something was holding her back.

The attraction I felt had become intense, it was not even in anyway burning low but had intensified. I was always looking forward to seeing her, I knew damn well what I felt for her had gone beyond a mere attraction.
