Since I was already caught searching for him, I innocently answered like a child who wasn’t scheming to seduce her husband. “Yes. Is he not around?”

“Haha, he is in his study. Do you want to see him?” she asked.

Since I had decided to go all out, I nodded my head as I maintained that innocent smile on my face. “Yes, father sent me with a message to him,” I lied with a straight face.

Ma Leo leaned back on the couch and said, “Oh! It must be urgent then. Should I send you there or you can go by yourself?”

I looked at her with excitement rushing through my veins when I heard her suggesting that.

“I don’t want to bother you. I know where the study is. I will find him myself,” I responded in return.

She waved her hand at me with a smile on her face.

“Okay, just go ahead then. Remember to knock. He might be a bit busy inside there!” she advised.

I smiled softly at her as I stood up and said, “I will, and thank you.”
