Chapter 57: 57. Clumsy Plot

Theo Lovejoy sat at the table, reading the report from his subordinates.

Yesterday, Ivette had come running to him from Worton, forcing her way into his room, even though he had clearly forbidden anyone from entering. The fools couldn't even stop her, but fortunately, her intrusion didn't arouse any suspicion.

Since she was a little girl, she had always enjoyed clinging to him, even confessing her feelings when she was fifteen years old.

The man with brown curly hair sighed and rubbed his temples:

"She's a stubborn one, I've hinted to her that there's absolutely no chance for us, yet she still acts as if she hadn't heard."

He had considered rejecting her more bluntly and cruelly, as a girl's youth should not be wasted on him.

However, because of Ivette's father's status, Theo's parents had specifically instructed him not to be too harsh towards her, and to utilize her background and identity if necessary.
