Chapter 25: 25 He Agreed

Kayla's POV

"Good morning, Daisy." I mumbled a greeting, still half-asleep, expecting a hug from my daughter by the bed. However, what responded to me wasn't the warm embrace of my child but the deep, low chuckle of a man.

I snapped my eyes open.

"Have you recognized who I am?" Harrison teased, his handsome face adorned with a playful smirk.

"Oh my god!" I exclaimed, throwing the covers off and sitting up abruptly. "What time is it now?"

Harrison abandoned his playful expression, calmly buttoning up his shirt. After he was all ready, he glanced at the golden watch on his wrist.

"It's eight fifty."

"Oh my god, oh my god!"

I cried out as I leaped out of bed but accidentally stepped on a bunch of black fabric. Out of curiosity, I instinctively picked up the black piece of cloth and examined it closely.

After a moment, I recognized it as the revealing maid outfit I had worn last night.
