Chapter 22: 22 Clouds Nine

Kayla's POV

"Amanda... Are you sure this will really get me into Clouds Nine?"

Dressed in a sexy maid outfit, I followed Amanda to the building of Clouds Nine. A sudden gust of cold wind lifted the short skirt I was wearing, revealing more than I intended. Whistles came from a few young men across the street.

I quickly pressed my back against the wall, one hand over my chest and the other tugging at the skirt.

"Of course! My friend told me that all the waitstaff is dressed like this tonight."

"But isn't this outfit a bit too odd? And I don't think Harrison likes this kind of style..."

I muttered softly, feeling that something was off.

"Shh!"

Amanda pretended not to hear my questions. She impatiently hushed me and then raised her hands, waving at a woman who hurriedly approached.

"Ruby, this is my colleague, Kayla. Kayla, this is my friend, Ruby. She'll be the one sneaking you into Harrison's private party."
