Chapter 21: 21 Approaching Harrison

Kayla's POV

Since that day, I hadn't encountered Harrison again. It seemed like he hadn't visited the mansion either. In any case, I had some quiet days, allowing me to focus all my attention on my work.

Today, I arrived at the office on time as usual. Before I could even take a seat, Lilian called me into her office.

Lilian was dressed in a silver suit, her red hair was still very eye-catching. At that moment, she stood by the desk, pacing nervously.

"Kayla, you're here," she said upon seeing me enter her office, leaning her hands on the desk and fixing her gaze on me.

"You know how crucial the interview is for us. Even though you're a new employee, I'm willing to trust you. Do you understand what I mean?"

Lilian stared at me intently.

"I'll do my best," I swallowed nervously.

"How's your progress?"
