Chapter Seventy Nine: Strange Happenings

"What do you mean the governor's wife is missing?" Artemis asked Myrtle who had come to his study immediately she had discovered this.

"It appears she has been missing for about a week," supplied Myrtle. She had gone to the governor's house earlier when she had been informed that the governor's wife had not been seen for a week and the police was only just going to investigate the house.

"We were only there a week ago," commented Artemis in disbelief. He could feel the onset of a headache. He had enough in his plate already. He just wanted the investigation on the rumour to come to a close but every time the flames were dying something that will fan the flames will arise. All he wanted was so that his friend will be exonerated and he would be spared the pain of betrayal.
