Chapter 164: Conquest : Conquer Kairuku Kingdom!

Helena left the throne room with flames of passion burning in her eyes.

After learning the relevant theoretical knowledge regarding kingdom tiers and how to become a Runic Swordmaster, she hurriedly went to settle the matter regarding mass soldier recruitment.

She was in such a hurry because she wanted to try condensing her sword intent into runes as soon as possible in her pursuit of martial excellence.

As for Blanc, he immediately sent his aides to make sure that the other aspects of their preparation were progressing smoothly.

Another four months quickly passed.

The streets of Wujin City had always been bustling but today, it was busier than usual. This is because today was the day the Rougenfort Army would set out to strike down the Kairuku Kingdom in hopes of finally controlling the entire Garragon Region together with their allies, the Terravalle Kingdom.

Garragon Region was considered one of the most desolate and weak regions at the edge of the Praetoria Continent.

Before the Samara-Lockridge war, there were only five major forces in the Garragon Region. The Terravalle Kingdom, the Kairuku Kingdom, the Lockridge Kingdom, the Samara Dukedom (which was a vassal state of the Lockridge Kingdom), and the Dumont Dukedom.

After a series of wars, however, only three forces remain. The newly risen Rougenfort Kingdom, the Terravalle Kingdom, and the Kairuku Kingdom.

Thus, after the Rougenfort-Terravalle Alliance struck down the Kairuku Kingdom, the entire region would be under their control and they would be able to grow without any hindrances.

Hopefully, their two kingdoms could grow into tier 3 kingdoms before the tier 1 and tier 2 kingdoms from the Larnach Region, also known as the central region, extend their filthy paws towards the Garragon Region.

Outside the walls of Wujin City, 25,000 Rougenfortian soldiers were assembled. There were ordinary infantry battalions, heavy infantry battalions, archer battalions, ballista and catapult squads, and a cavalry battalion just in case the Kairuku Kingdom decided to fight outside their walls which they most likely would not.

However, it didn't hurt to be prepared so Blanc brought one cavalry battalion which was directly placed under Regiment Commander Finnegan's orders.

The 25,000 Rougenfortian soldiers were fully equipped in various equipment sets depending on the role of their battalions and squads.

Of course, the mithril armor sets were reserved for the elite battalions such as the heavy infantry battalion and since there were limited amounts of such armor sets, Blanc couldn't give the ordinary soldiers such high-quality equipment so they had to settle for a full set of iron equipment.

Still, they were fully equipped and their armor sets were personally crafted by the advanced tier blacksmiths of Rougenfort Kingdom so they were still lucky compared to the soldiers of other kingdoms.

While the 25,000 veteran soldiers were waiting outside the city walls, 20,000 of the recently graduated trainees were marching towards the exit gates of Wujin City.

These 20,000 recently enlisted soldiers were on their way to join the 25,000 veteran soldiers to form a massive 45,000-strong army which would then help a 60,000-strong Terravallean Army take down the Kairuku Kingdom.

Blanc couldn't leave the cities under his governance unguarded so he allocated 2000 men to guard Wujin City, 2000 men to guard Blasridge City, and only 1000 men to defend the Rougenfortial Capital, Resonance City.

He doubted that they would be attacked by other kingdoms so these 5000 men scattered across his territories should be plenty to defend against highly unlikely rebellions.

The 20,000 newly enlisted soldiers were slightly awestruck upon seeing how imposing the veteran soldiers were.

However, they quickly realized that they would be a part of the Rougenfort Army as well so they straightened their backs and raised their chins, feeling proud to be a part of such a strong-looking army.

Once they've smoothly integrated with the 25,000 veteran soldiers, the blacksmiths dutifully distributed their armor and weapons which the soldiers immediately equipped after receiving.

Then, once the soldiers were ready, the regiment commanders, generals, and the Grand Marshal, Helena, assumed their stations in front of the battalions and regiments under their command before starting to march in a disciplined manner toward the Kairuku Kingdom.

Under the eyes of Wujin City's citizens, and their king, Blanc Rougenfort, the 45,000-strong Rougenfortian Army set out in a conquest to try and take down their last remaining hostile kingdom in the Garragon Region, the Kairuku Kingdom.

Blanc was swelling with pride as he looked at his massive army that he and his subordinates created from nothing.

Three years ago, they could barely defend themselves from mutated predators and bandits, but now, they have a 45,000-strong strike force ready to storm a tier 4 kingdom's capital.
