Chapter 244: Strange Situation

The mercenary leader stopped in tracks upon hearing the commanding voice. He slowly turned back and said with a shaky, "Y-yes?"

His goal for coming here was just actually to create trouble and let Maras come out. If Maras truly came out, he would retreat immediately and everything was no longer his concern.

This was the plan.

Unfortunately, the plan has failed from the beginning.

"Who told you to come here?" Elder Journey's calm voice resounded once more.

The mercenary leader, named Thomas, gulped a mouthful of saliva as he answered, "Ah, It's a misunderstanding, a misunderstanding. This is not the tavern that we're looking for."
