Chapter 34: Reunion of Hearts

Amane sat alone in the park, a deep sense of melancholy enveloping him. He couldn't shake off the feeling of regret for arriving too late in Mihuru's life. He lit a cigarette and took a long drag, the smoke drifting aimlessly. His thoughts were consumed by the fact that Mihuru had moved on, married someone else, and even had a son. He blamed himself for not being there when she needed him most. However, he consoled himself with the belief that at least she was happy now.

Then, to his utter astonishment, Mihuru appeared before him. She saw Amane and, tears welling up in her eyes, softly uttered his name, "Amane."

**Amane** was taken aback. She had addressed him not as **DG** but by his true identity,

**Amane**. It struck him like a bolt of lightning – she was now married, a mother, and their lives had moved in different directions.

As he turned to leave, **Mihuru** couldn't let him go. She reached out and hugged **Amane** tightly, tears streaming down her face. Amidst sobs, she managed to say, "I'm sorry you had to go through so much, but there's something you should know, **Amane**."

**Amane**, fighting back his own tears, asked in a somewhat distant tone, "What is it, **Miss Chairwoman**?"

**Mihuru** continued, her voice trembling with emotion, "After I heard about your death, I was devastated for weeks. I didn't know how I'd go on. And then, I discovered that I was pregnant with our child."

Amane was shocked, his heart racing. He could hardly believe what he was hearing. Mihuru's revelation left him speechless.

**Mihuru**, tears still flowing, went on, "My mother insisted that I abort the child, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. Father helped me escape from my mother's house. I never married anyone else, **Amane**. I've always been yours, and Izumi is the living symbol of our love."

Amane's shock turned into a profound sense of guilt. He held Mihuru close, tears streaming down his own face. With a quavering voice, he said, "I'm so sorry, Mihuru. You should never have had to go through all of that. I should have revealed myself to you much sooner."

Mihuru held Amane tightly and continued to pour her heart out to him, her voice trembling with the weight of her emotions. She spoke with unwavering sincerity:

**Mihuru**: "Amane, our love was the most beautiful thing that ever happened to me. Even after hearing about your death, I couldn't let go of our memories. I wanted to keep a part of you alive, and that part became our son, Izumi."

Amane listened intently, his heart aching with a mixture of guilt and longing.

**Mihuru**: "Every day, I looked at Izumi and saw you in him. It was both a painful reminder of what we lost and a source of strength that kept me going."

Amane realized the depth of Mihuru's love and the sacrifices she had made for their child.

**Mihuru**: "I never stopped loving you, Amane. I couldn't move on because you were the one I had chosen to spend my life with. I would have waited for you forever."

**Amane** was overwhelmed with a profound sense of remorse for the years of separation.

**Mihuru**: "I know we can't change the past, but I wanted you to know the truth, Amane. We can still have a future together, for Izumi's sake."

Amane held Mihuru even closer, his tears mingling with hers, as the weight of their shared history and the hope of a renewed future hung in the air.

**Amane**: "Mihuru, I can't express how sorry I am for everything you've had to go through. I never wanted to leave you, but I thought it was the only way to protect you."

Mihuru looked into Amane's eyes, her own eyes filled with a mix of emotions, including forgiveness and understanding.

**Amane**: "I thought you had moved on, found happiness with someone else, and I couldn't bear to disrupt that. But hearing the truth now, knowing that Izumi is our son, it's a gift beyond measure."

**Mihuru** nodded, tears still in her eyes but a glimmer of hope returning to her heart.

**Amane**: "I've missed so much, Mihuru, and I can't change the past. But I promise you, from this moment forward, I'll be the father that Izumi deserves, and I'll be the partner you need. We have a future together, and nothing will stand in our way."

Mihuru smiled through her tears, feeling a sense of relief and happiness that she hadn't experienced in years.

**Mihuru**: "Amane, I've waited for this moment for so long. I believe in us, and I know that we can rebuild what we once had."

As they held each other, the weight of their shared history began to lift, and the promise of a new beginning filled their hearts with hope.

Amane and Mihuru stood together, the weight of the past finally lifting from their shoulders. The anticipation of their visit to Amane's parents filled the air with a mixture of nervousness and excitement.

**Amane**: "Mihuru, I know it's a lot to take in, but my parents have always seen you as part of our family. They've been worried about you all these years and couldn't bear the thought of you being trapped by your mother."

Mihuru, tears of joy in her eyes, hugged Amane tightly.

**Mihuru**: "Amane, I can't believe your parents still care about me after everything that's happened. I'm so grateful to have you back in my life."

**Amane** smiled, holding her hand as they made their way to his home. When they arrived, Amane's parents, Shihoko and Shuuto, were genuinely surprised to see Mihuru with their son. They exchanged surprised glances, and then Shihoko, with a warm smile, approached Mihuru.

**Shihoko**: "Mihuru, dear, we've missed you so much. You've always been like a daughter to us."

Mihuru's eyes filling with tears, hugged Shihoko tightly. She couldn't believe that, despite her mother's cruelty, these kind-hearted people still saw her as part of their family.

**Mihuru**: "Thank you, Shihoko-san. I've missed you too."

**Shuuto**, with a gentle smile, approached them.

**Shuuto**: "Mihuru, you've grown into an impressive woman. We always believed in your strength."

Mihuru felt a rush of emotions, grateful for their warmth and understanding. She wanted to explain everything to them, starting with her impressive career and the son she and Amane shared.

**Mihuru**: "There's so much I need to tell you, and I want you to know about Izumi, our son. He's a remarkable young man."

**Amane** nodded, and together, they began to share their stories, rebuilding the bonds that had been broken for far too long.

**Mihuru** explained her journey, from escaping her mother's oppressive grasp to becoming a successful businesswoman and raising Izumi, their son. She spoke of the sacrifices she had made, the challenges she had faced, and her determination to protect their child.

Shihoko and Shuuto listened attentively, their eyes filled with empathy and admiration for the woman who had endured so much. When **Mihuru** finished her story, she looked at them with hope in her eyes.

**Mihuru**: "I wanted to meet you both for so long, but I believed Amane was gone because of me. I didn't want to burden you with my troubles. I hope you can forgive me for that."

Shihoko hugged Mihuru once more, her eyes teary but filled with warmth.

**Shihoko**: "My dear, there's nothing to forgive. We're just relieved that you're safe and that you have our grandson, **Izumi**. We're proud of the strong woman you've become."

**Shuuto nodded in agreement, his voice filled with sincerity.

**Shuuto**: "Indeed, Mihuru. You've overcome so much, and we couldn't be happier to have you back in our lives."

Mihuru couldn't hold back her tears of joy. She felt a sense of acceptance and belonging that she hadn't experienced in years. With Amane by her side and his parents' support, she knew that they could rebuild their family, stronger than ever before.

Shihoko and Shuuto, having learned about Mihuru's remarkable journey, were curious to know more about her life as one of Asia's top businesswomen. They admired her for her resilience and determination, and they wanted to understand the woman their son had fallen in love with.

**Shihoko**: "Mihuru, please tell us more about your accomplishments and your life in the business world. We'd love to hear about your achievements."

**Mihuru** smiled, grateful for their interest, and began sharing stories of her career. She talked about the challenges she faced, the successes she achieved, and the moments that had defined her professional journey.

**Mihuru**: "I started with nothing, but I was determined to make a name for myself. Over the years, I worked tirelessly to build my company, overcome obstacles, and earn a reputation for excellence. It hasn't been easy, but every step of the way, I thought about Amane and the love we shared. It gave me the strength to keep going."

Shuuto and Shihoko listened attentively, their admiration for Mihuru growing with each word. They were proud to have her as a part of their family and couldn't wait to see what the future held for all of them.

As Shihoko and Shuuto asked about their grandson's appearance, Mihuru couldn't help but smile. She took out a recent photo of Izumi, and their eyes widened in amazement when they saw how much he resembled Amane.

**Mihuru**: "Here's a photo of our son, Izumi. He looks just like his father, doesn't he?"

Shihoko and Shuuto examined the photo closely, and there was a mixture of emotions in their eyes. They could hardly believe their eyes as they gazed at the image of their grandson.

**Shuuto**: "He's truly a spitting image of Amane, down to the smallest details."

**Shihoko**: "And those yellow eyes are unmistakably yours, Mihuru. He's a beautiful blend of both of you."

Amane, who had never seen his son before, was equally astonished. He couldn't hide his amazement and the emotions that stirred within him as he looked at Izumi's photo.

**Amane**: "I... I never imagined I'd see the day when I'd see my son. He's my carbon copy."

It was a poignant moment for all of them, filled with both joy and bittersweet realization of the time they had lost.

As they continued to talk and share stories, Amane couldn't help but feel compelled to explain his recent encounter with Izumi, their son. His voice filled with a mix of pride and regret as he described the intense battle they had.

**Amane**: "Just a while ago, I faced Izumi in a fierce battle. He had grown so much, Mihuru. His determination to find answers about my past led him to fight me. It was a battle between a father and a son, neither holding back."

Shihoko and Shuuto listened intently, their expressions shifting from astonishment to concern.

**Shuuto**: "A father and son fighting each other... That must have been incredibly difficult for both of you."

**Shihoko**: "But it's a testament to his strength and determination. Izumi is truly remarkable."

Amane continued to explain how he had initially hidden his identity as DG, not realizing that Izumi was searching for the legendary **Demon King**. The realization that their paths had crossed in such a dramatic way left everyone in the room astonished.

**Amane**: "It was a clash of ideals and a test of strength. Izumi is determined to find out the truth about me and protect you, Mihuru. He's just like his mother, fiercely independent and unyielding."

Mihuru felt a mixture of emotions hearing about the battle between her son and the man she had once loved. She was proud of Izumi for his determination but saddened by the fact that he had to go through such challenges to get answers about his father.

Mihuru listened to Amane's account of the battle with a mixture of emotions. Her voice trembled as she responded.

**Mihuru**: "Amane, it's difficult for me to comprehend the battles and sacrifices you've both endured. That our son, Izumi, was involved in such a fight... it pains me, yet I'm proud of him for his strength and determination."

Tears welled up in her eyes as she continued.

**Mihuru**: "I never wanted him to carry the weight of our past. I hoped he could live a peaceful life. But I understand now that he needs answers, just as I do. We can't change the past, but we can work together to shape our future."

She glanced at Shihoko and Shuuto, grateful for their understanding and support.

**Mihuru**: "Thank you both for accepting me and for welcoming me into your family. You have no idea how much your love means to me, especially after all these years."

**Shihoko** and **Shuuto** exchanged glances, moved by Mihuru's sincerity and the complexity of the situation.

**Shihoko**: "Mihuru, you're not an outsider to us. You've always been a part of our family, no matter the circumstances."

**Shuuto**: "And Izumi is our grandson. We may have missed so much, but we're here now, and we want to support him and you in any way we can."

They embraced Mihuru, reaffirming the bond that had endured despite years of separation and misunderstandings.

Amane felt a mixture of emotions as they prepared to visit the **Shikimori** household. He wanted to see his son, Izumi, again and make amends for the years of separation. Mihuru held his hand, providing comfort and strength.

**Mihuru**: "Amane, are you ready for this?"

**Amane** nodded, a determined look in his eyes.

**Amane**: "Yes, I've waited long enough. It's time to meet our son."

With that, they left for the Shikimori residence, where a heartfelt reunion awaited them.

Amane's arrival at the Shikimori household was met with mixed emotions. Itsuki and Chitose were delighted to see their old friend, albeit with a new appearance. They exchanged warm greetings, reminiscing about their shared past.

**Itsuki**: "Amane, you've changed quite a bit!"

**Chitose**: "But we'd recognize that grin anywhere!"

Amane's heart skipped a beat when he saw his son, Izumi. He approached Izumi, his voice filled with uncertainty.

**Amane**: "Izumi, do you hate me for not being around?"

Izumi looked into his father's eyes, his voice tinged with both longing and forgiveness.

**Izumi**: "Sometimes, Father, because you weren't around, but I always missed you, and I'm happy that you're here."

Tears welled up in their eyes as father and son embraced, their reunion long overdue. Amane made a solemn promise.

**Amane**: "I'm sorry, son, and I won't leave. That's a promise."

The room was filled with emotional onlookers who had witnessed the touching reunion.

Then, the subject of Fuji came up, and Amane inquired about his whereabouts. An air of tension settled over the room as Fuji's parents, Miyabi and Jhon, along with Fuji's little sister, Michan, tried to hold back their tears.

**Jake**, Mihuru's father, took it upon himself to explain the situation to Amane. The news left Amane shocked. He glanced at both Miyabi and Jhon, his resolve evident.

**Amane**: "Don't worry; I will handle this alone."

Izumi, curious about his father's plan, asked for more details.

**Izumi**: "Dad, how are you going to make Sensei come back?"

Amane spotted a jug of water nearby and proceeded to pour it over his head, shocking everyone in the room. Their collective thoughts raced, wondering what Amane was up to.

Amane offered a confident smirk.

**Amane**: "Don't worry, son. Thanks to this, I'm not going as Amane or as DG. Tonight, I'll go as the first-generation legend."

As Amane's hair turned from blond to black, the resemblance between father and son became uncanny, as if an older, more experienced version of Izumi stood before them. The room was filled with astonished silence as they all witnessed this transformation.

Amane's sly smirk remained, and his words echoed with determination.

**Amane**: "Tonight, I will make that demon come back to his family."

His bold statement hung in the air, creating a sense of both anticipation and uncertainty among those gathered. They could sense that Amane was prepared to do whatever it took to bring his lost friend back home.

As the water droplets fell onto Amane's shirtless torso, revealing his chiseled eight-pack abs, Mihuru couldn't help but blush at the sight. Her thoughts raced as she admired his impressive physique.

Amane, ever the charmer, noticed Mihuru's reaction and decided to have a little fun. He approached her, his hair now back to its natural black color, and flashed a playful grin.

**Amane**: "Impressed, Miss Chairwoman? I can still turn heads, even after all these years."

Mihuru, flustered by his sudden flirtatiousness, stuttered a response.

**Mihuru**: "Amane, please, not in front of everyone!"

Amane chuckled, enjoying the light-hearted moment, and winked at her.

**Amane**: "Alright, alright. But I missed teasing you."

Their playful banter brought smiles to the faces of those around them, who were delighted to see Amane's charm and sense of humor still intact after all these years.

Amane's parents, Shuuto and Shihoko, presented the mini remote-controlled helicopters to the group and explained their plan to watch the fight between Amane and Fuji from a distance.

**Shuuto**: "We'll have a better view and stay safe from here. Trust me; it's for the best."

Jhon and Miyabi, after seeing the determined look in Shuuto's eyes, agreed to the plan.

**Jhon**: "Alright, if you say so. We trust your judgment."

Then, Jhon asked Amane about Fuji's possible location, to which Amane replied with a sense of gravity.

**Amane**: "The place where we fought and where he trained Izumi."

Izumi was taken aback by this revelation, shocked to learn that his beloved Fuji-sensei had trained him in a location that held such significance in their past. The group was now determined to accompany Amane and witness the confrontation between Amane and the legendary demon, Fuji.
