Gloria hesitated for a moment, but she still answered the phone.
But before she spoke, she could hear the man's cold, stern voice sounded in the speaker.
"Why are you seeing him these days?"
Gloria's eyes flickered. She sighed in her heart.
"I made a mistake. I will pay more attention in the future."
Jordy's face looked gloomy. There was a sinister look in his eyes which Gloria couldn't see it in person. But she could imagine.
"Everyone is suspecting you. Don't you ever want to explain what happened to me?"
"You don't trust me?" Gloria asked, not in a tone of disbelief and shock, but in a calm manner.
It didn't sound like she wanted to let Jordy completely trust her.
Jordy looked grave, and he sneered, "Why should I trust you?"
Gloria didn't answer.
He is right. Why would he trust him since no one does? If I weren't Gloria, I wouldn't trust the woman if I read the story in the news.
