No matter what Anita said, Jonathan just turned a deaf ear to it. He just wanted to date Gloria from the beginning.

Gloria also persuaded him several times but Anita could clearly see that Jonathan remained disapproving. She even felt that Jonathan was like a fatuous ruler who only wanted to work with Gloria, and didn't care whether the deal was profitable or not.
