Chapter 420: Lamorak? Or...

'What the hell is happening?!'

Unbridled fear instantly exploded in the deputy commander's heart.

If the previous fear stemmed from the awe of the commander's immense power, then now, it was entirely due to the unknown trembling within him.

No choice.

The strongest emotion a person could feel was fear, while the strongest fear came from the unknown.

As the pure light grew even brighter and illuminated everything with perfect clarity, it felt like a scene from the Book of Revelation, where God and angels reside in heaven—a place forever filled with pure light, free from darkness, and eternally warm.

Yet, the deputy commander felt none of that warmth.

Intense dread made him feel as if he had plunged into an abyss of ice, where knives made of ice pressed against his heart, freezing his blood.

His thoughts stretched endlessly at this moment, like a train with no end in sight. Eventually, when he snapped back to reality, he saw the source of the pure light—it was a radiant white sun.

Ultimately, this 'white sun' exploded.

*BOOOOOOM—!!!*

Like a furious thunderbolt exploding on the surface of the earth, the terrifying force erupted in an instant, unleashing an unparalleled destructive power that seemed to overwhelm everything in its path.

The deafening sound of the explosion echoed far and wide, spreading in all directions, while in the center of it, rose a towering, ominous mushroom cloud straight into the sky.

Rolling black dust obscured the entire mountain range like a dark cloud, with rocks and soil raining down from the sky like a relentless storm, pattering incessantly onto the ground and raising even larger clouds of dust.

The entire mountain range was engulfed by the dust kicked up by the explosion, reminiscent of the eternal 'World of Mist' sung about in Norse mythology. However, what enveloped this place was not just pure mist but an endless yellowish mist.

After an unknown period, the murky dust gradually dispersed, revealing the broken and battered body of the towering mountain peak.

The mountain peak, standing at nearly two hundred meters tall, seemed as though it had been slapped by a giant, with almost half of its mass crumbling down. Rocks and vegetation tumbled into endless fragments, buried beneath a chaotic layer of soil. Broken cliffs stood silently, bearing witness to the terrifying impact with a mute testimony.

In just an instant, nearly half of the mountain was obliterated, as if it had never existed.

In the face of such devastation brought about by this attack, any words seemed so feeble and inadequate, making one couldn't help but wonder if perhaps this was the legendary divine punishment.

Everything was annihilated and all existence was consumed by sheer destruction, leaving only desolation on the ground, coldly demonstrating the indifference of the gods to the world.

Amidst this silent land, a small mound suddenly bulged, followed by an arm bursting through the soil, a sight so horrifying that it evoked thoughts of undead rising from a graveyard in folk tales.

*BOOM!*

As rocks exploded along with the soil, a figure clad in a blue tight suit emerged, spitting out the dust from his mouth.

He was none other than the commander called 'Lamorak' by his deputy.

Lamorak brushed off the dirt and twigs from his head, his beast-like crimson eyes scanning the chaotic scene around him. However, instead of anger, a cold smile appeared on his handsome face.

"Heh, nothing's left, huh... Looks like we've got a tough guy on our hands."

After saying that, Lamorak flicked his toe lightly, and the crimson spear on the ground bounced up into his hand.

*Swish!*

With a few casual twirls, his fiery crimson eyes gleamed with a hint of madness and ferocity before he shouted loudly.

"All extras have gone away! Aren't you going to show yourself?! If I'm not mistaken, your target should be me, right?!"

A quiet breeze swept by, lifting his small braid. Covered in dust from head to toe, he looked extremely disheveled, but it didn't diminish the boiling magma-like determination and murderous intent emanating from him.

"Or maybe you're just a coward who likes to attack from the shadows?" Lamorak sneered, dripping with sarcasm and mockery.

"..."

After several seconds of silence, a calm voice soon rang out.

"While I'm not particularly keen on fighting you, it seems like fate has other plans for us."

*Tap* *Tap* *Tap*

Accompanied by crisp footsteps, a man wielding a massive white lance and clad in silver armor approached from a distance.

He had a striking head of black hair, a face as handsome as a carved sculpture, with black eyes like a bottomless abyss, giving off a feeling that staring into them would result in being swallowed whole.

Lamorak sized up the newcomer, pondering.

"Black hair and eyes, plus that silver armor... You're the outsider who nearly killed Tristan, aren't you?"

"And how should I address you?" Arkhan looked at the man before him, feeling a mix of emotions. "Lamorak? Or... Cu Chulainn?"

Honestly, before receiving the news from Nero, he hadn't even considered that Cu Chulainn would descend upon this world. From the Land of Shadows to Fuyuki City, and now this Singularity, he and this savage dog truly had an unfathomable fate.

Unfortunately, in this world, Cu Chulainn seemed to carry on his bad luck as Lancer as usual, getting caught as soon as he arrived and having his memories and mind tampered with.

However, from what he saw, it seemed like Cu Chulainn didn't really mind?

"Whether it's Lamorak or Cu Chulainn, it's just a name anyway. Do as you please."

Cu Chulainn licked his lips, excitement burning in his eyes as he tightly gripped Gae Bolg.

"Let's fight, Outsider! Finally encountering such a powerful warrior like you, I won't let this opportunity slip by without a good fight!"

'Ahh, that familiar gaze...' Arkhan rubbed his forehead with a headache.

It seemed that even with brainwashing, Cu Chulainn's personality remained stubborn. If it weren't for his troublesome 'Battle Continuation,' he would have been blasted to death by Abyss Flower's First Power just now.

"Why are you silent? Do you think I'm not worthy to be your opponent?"

Seeing Arkhan's silence, Cu Chulainn's eyes flashed with anger. Being underestimated was intolerable to him, even more so than death.

"Hahh..." Arkhan sighed tiredly, his hand flipping over.

Abyss Flower vanished instantly, replaced by a black spear of death, Black Abyss.

"Oh? You're also a Lancer like me?" Cu Chulainn's eyes lit up, his fighting spirit burning hotter. "That's perfect! Let me see if your spearmanship can match up to mine, who was trained by the Queen of the Land of Shadows herself!"

"Brother, let me make one thing clear..."

Arkhan remarked, casually tossing Black Abyss onto his shoulder, his eyes as black as ink fixed on Cu Chulainn with a wicked smile playing on his lips.

"If I get a bit carried away and accidentally kill you later, you can't blame me, okay?"
