Chapter 181: The Purple-Haired Princess

*Cough!*

Arkhan cleared his throat and took a step forward.

"Everyone, let me introduce her properly."

"This lady is, in fact, my foster mother, the Queen of the Land of Shadows, Scathach."

"..."

"Mother..."

"Mo-Mother?"

Artoria and Morgan were instantly dumbfounded and standing still as if petrified. Morgan, being the wisest of the two, was the first to react.

"Why didn't you tell us about this kind of thing in advance?" Morgan complained while glaring at Arkhan.

She stepped forward, wearing an impeccable smile on her face, extending her hand towards Scathach.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Arkhan's elder sister, Morgan le Fay Pendragon. And this is my younger sister, Artoria Pendragon. We're truly sorry for what just happened, and we hope you can forgive our rudeness."

"We're really sorry!" Artoria blushed and bowed almost ninety degrees to Scathach.

"Hmm, no worries, I go through this kind of thing every day, and I've almost gotten used to it." Scathach smiled and shook hands with Morgan.

'Used to it? Does that mean she faces such battles every day? Is the environment in the Land of Shadows really that harsh?'

Morgan pondered silently. But her thoughts were interrupted as Scathach suddenly approached and sniffed at her neck.

"Wh-What are you doing?" Morgan asked awkwardly.

Scathach didn't answer. After sniffing, she circled Morgan several times, focusing on her eyes and hair. Then, she reached out and grabbed Morgan's big breasts.

'She grabbed... my breasts...'

Morgan was dumbfounded until Scathach squeezed her breasts not too lightly, and only then did she finally react. She hastily covered her chest and took two steps back with her fair face turning crimson.

"Wh-What are you doing?!" Morgan stuttered as she asked with an angry tone.

"I sensed an old friend's aura from you, so I wanted to confirm if you were her disguise." Scathach calmly answered and acted as if nothing happened.

"Old... friend?" Morgan blinked in confusion. "But I've never met you."

"Mother, Morgan is actually the evil side that got separated from Vivian, so you might find her familiar." Arkhan, still recovering from his mother's bold actions, quickly explained.

"Ohh, I see... I always wondered when that old witch who likes to dress up as a little girl would grow up." Scathach snorted, then turned to Artoria.

Artoria instinctively took a few steps back, hands covering her chest. But this time, Scathach didn't approach her. Instead, she asked, "Your name is Artoria, right? Can you take out the sword you used earlier and show it to me?"

"A-Ahh? Su-Sure, no problem."

With one hand holding Excalibur, and the other covering her chest, Artoria cautiously approached Scathach, maintaining a one-meter distance, presenting the holy sword before her.

Scathach observed the sword carefully and after a while, sighed.

"It's indeed the Sword of the Planet... Now, that old witch's wish has finally been fulfilled. I guess there won't be a chance to meet again, huh..."

Her voice carried a hint of melancholy and loneliness.

"By the way, I remember Arkhan mentioning he has a daughter named Mordred, right? Can you take me to see her?"

"Of course, please follow me!"

To establish a good relationship with her mother-in-law, Nidhogg took the initiative and led Scathach towards Mordred's crib.

"So, she is the Queen of the Land of Shadows... Indeed, a very domineering and powerful woman. No wonder she could become the Gatekeeper of the Land of Shadows." Morgan chuckled helplessly, then turned to Arkhan. "I'm suddenly curious, how did she raise you?"

Arkhan rolled his eyes.

"Otherwise, why do you think I've been avoiding her all this time?"

===

Because of Scathach's extremely special identity and her dislike for unnecessary trouble, Arkhan did not spread her news widely. He only informed his close people like Bedivere and Kay.

Knowing Scathach's identity, Bedivere and the others treated her with great respect. While the rest might not understand why they bowed to this unfamiliar purple-haired woman, seeing even these highly esteemed Knights of the Round Table do so indicated that she was undoubtedly extraordinary.

Later, people also noticed that this purple-haired woman often appeared with Queen Nid, Princess Morgan, and Princess Artoria. According to eyewitnesses, the latter three seemed somewhat subservient in her presence.

Initially, people took it as a joke, considering the esteemed status of the three, who besides the king could make them bow?

But then they discovered that every time Queen Nid and Princess Morgan received gifts, they would voluntarily give half to this mysterious purple-haired woman. Even Princess Artoria, whenever she got something delicious, would go to the purple-haired woman to share.

Most astonishingly, the king personally issued a decree that henceforth, this purple-haired woman could freely enter any part of Camelot, even the king's study, which was considered a forbidden place!

Now, the people were completely bewildered.

"What do you guys think, where did that lady with the purple hair come from? Why does everyone, from the Knights of the Round Table to Princesses, and even the Queen and the King, respect her so much?"

"Could she be a relative of the King? Like an aunt or something?"

"Huh? Why not just say she's the King's mother? C'mon dude, do some research first. That purple-haired lady looks very young, probably just a year or two older than the King, maybe even younger."

"I heard people say she exudes a very noble aura, not inferior to Princess Morgan. In that case, she must be a princess from some country, right?"

"Could it be that her father wants to ally with Camelot, so he sent her here to marry the King?"

"The King and Princess Artoria wouldn't show such respect to a marriage prospect. Besides, if that were the case, shouldn't Queen Nid be angry?"

"Hehehe, brother, you don't understand. This just proves how much the King adores this purple-haired princess. Princess Artoria and Queen Nid must have noticed, so they can only endure."

"Wow! This purple-haired princess is really lucky. To be so favored by the Chosen King."

And so, shortly after, Scathach welcomed a new nickname.

The Beloved Purple-Haired Princess of the Chosen King.
