Chapter 101: The Key of Domination

The day after the banquet, Bedivere and Kay, who were in the midst of training, suddenly received a command from Arkhan to see him in the study.

Not knowing what was going on, they hurriedly made their way to the study.

"Teacher, did you summon us for something?" Kay asked.

Arkhan, who had been gazing at the portrait of Uther on the wall, turned around and casually waved his hand, summoning the golden sword, Claiomh Solais, and the silver arm, Airgetlam, into existence.

Bedivere and Kay were taken aback, sensing that the power of these two weapons had weakened since the first time they had seen them.

"I had Merlin place restraints on these two weapons."

Arkhan said in a calm tone as he glanced at the two of them.

"From now on, these weapons belong to both of you."

Bedivere and Kay were left dumbfounded!

"T-These are the weapons of the God King Nuada..." Kay's mouth twitched slightly. "Are you really giving them to us, Teacher?"

"Your Majesty, please reconsider your decision. These weapons are too precious, and I do not deserve them."

Bedivere's heart was filled with anxiety. Among all those who followed Arkhan, he was one of the latest, and he hadn't achieved any notable feats yet. Accepting these weapons would weigh heavily on his conscience.

"Useful things are most effective when they are in the hands of the most suitable individuals." Arkhan's tone remained unchanged. "I believe that you both are the most suitable owners for these two weapons."

Indescribable excitement welled up within them. Bedivere and Kay exchanged a glance and knelt on the ground together, resolutely stating:

""We solemnly swear that we will uphold the will of Your Majesty!""

Arkhan nodded slightly and pushed forward. Airgetlam automatically flew to Bedivere's vacant right hand, while Claiomh Solais dispersed into countless particles of light, merging into Kay's body.

At that moment of connection, Airgetlam emitted a sharp, intense silver glow, and Bedivere appeared to be enduring considerable pain while gritting his teeth and sweating profusely.

Kay's body displayed a faint golden aura, and his expression also showed signs of pain, although he seemed to be handling it better than Bedivere.

Arkhan stood with folded arms, calmly observing the scene.

This was the necessary challenge to earn the recognition of the Divine Constructs, and it was also a trial for Bedivere and Kay, so Arkhan would not intervene.

The study door suddenly opened, and Benedict walked in, looking at the fallen Bedivere and Kay with a slight bewilderment.

"Did I come at an inopportune moment?"

"Is there something you need?" Arkhan turned to him.

"I've received a response from Ganna."

"Oh?"

The sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting dappled spots on the wide corridor. Arkhan strolled slowly, listening to the duke's narrative.

Honestly, even Arkhan hadn't expected that so much would happen in Ganna in just a few days.

After the news of the defeat in the Great Plains reached Ganna, the King of Ganna was determined not to give up. He continued to assure everyone that they had reinforcements and supporters behind them.

But before he could finish speaking, the crown prince drew his sword and beheaded his own father. He knelt on the ground, holding the king's lifeless body, sobbing uncontrollably.

He claimed that his father had been manipulated and that the king was just a puppet of someone. If he was allowed to act freely, Ganna would be doomed.

The dutiful son then revealed his plan—to offer his father's head to Camelot and pledge allegiance. This way, Ganna might have a chance to survive.

Seeing this, the nobles of Ganna realized that even the king had been killed by his own son. As loyal subjects, they had no choice but to obey.

But unexpectedly, Ganna's general arrived at that moment. He was a staunch loyalist to the king, and he went berserk upon witnessing the scene. He unsheathed his sword and cut the crown prince into pieces.

Since the nobles present at the time agreed with the crown prince's plan, the general saw them as traitors and went on a rampage, sparing no one.

It's safe to say that the general lived up to his reputation.

After the bloodbath, Ganna's nobles were decimated.

It was said that the general placed the king's body on the throne, knelt before it, and impaled himself with his own sword.

Facing two massive blows in quick succession, Ganna was left without leaders, soldiers, or a functioning government. The whole country was in chaos, and the people were in turmoil.

In the end, the surviving nobles, led by the king's eldest daughter, negotiated with Arkhan's envoys and accepted all their terms.

This meant that from now on, there would be no more Ganna in this land.

'Finally, it's in my hands...' Arkhan sighed with relief as he felt the connection with Xuanyuan Sword.

"I'll leave the arrangements for Ganna to you. If you're uncertain about anything, you can consult with Merlin. If neither of you can make a decision, then come find me."

Arkhan spoke briefly toward the duke and quickly made his way to his room.

Benedict was overwhelmed with excitement as the king's level of trust in him was astonishing. He had been entrusted with such an important task. Such courage to trust him without hesitation truly befitted the Chosen King of Camelot!

"Don't worry, Your Majesty! I will not disappoint your trust!" Benedict shouted solemnly after Arkhan's retreating figure.

Arkhan didn't hear the duke's exclamation at all. He had no interest in Ganna's affairs; it was a waste of time and energy. There were more important matters at hand.

As soon as he returned to his room, Arkhan closed the door and eagerly summoned the Divine Key he had just obtained.

Ripples appeared in the void, and an ancient-looking golden sword materialized. Elaborate patterns were engraved on it, exuding an air of power and nobility.

Crafted with the core of the Tenth Herrscher—Herrscher of Legion, who possessed the most versatile power.

The Tenth Divine Key, the Key of Domination—Xuanyuan Sword.
