Chapter 57: Heartbroken

The Princess couldn't contain herself after seeing Heinrich walk inside the room. She was concerned about Teresia's state. What if something went wrong? She walked toward the door to see that it was slightly open. Peeking inside, she could see Heinrich standing up and staring at Teresia, who was sitting on the floor, devastated beyond cure. 

"How did you know I was standing outside?" Heinrich asked. 

Teresia looked up at Heinrich and forced a smile, "I can sense your presence from miles away." Her voice wavered and her eyes moistened. 

Heinrich furrowed his brows as he looked at her with concern. He approached her and sat down to grab her arms, hoping to help her get up. However, she curled herself away from him. 

Heinrich withdrew his hands and sighed, "Is it the illness, or the resentment?"
