With such complexity and simplicity, he managed to deal such massive damage.

Therefore, in a fight with Mentrail, time was of essence. It usually takes a bit of time to charge and activate a technique however, Mentrail's causal strike was already overwhelming. One only needed to be more overwhelming than Mentrail's to have a chance at defeating him.
