"What the hell is this guy doing?"
"Are all the people from class D this weird?"
The students in class A all gained such an impression of him.
Even Mashima-sensei had a weird look on his face, but he chose to leave without saying much, leaving the students to discuss amongst themselves.
However, the short-haired girl with silver-white hair did not join in on the discussions and listened to her other classmates talking from an outsider's perspective.
And this afternoon, except for class D, every class would find themselves with one more student per lesson.
It was very odd.
In Class B…
"We welcome everyone! But wouldn't you be punished by your homeroom teacher for truancy? It's not good to skip classes."
The atmosphere in the first year's class B was quite different to the previous class he visited.
A young and beautiful girl named Ichinose Hoonami noticed Ying Ye Zhenshi and introduced herself, and then became concerned about whether he would be punished for playing truant.
"If you want to come and hang out with us, you can do it after class."
She suggested this like a gentle, big-sister-esque archangel, reminding Ying Ye Zhenshi of the blond, determined and cute girl Hanada-san from his class.
"Don't worry about me, I'll just take a look around, just taking a look. And you don't need to worry about me being punished since my homeroom tutor doesn't care about us. Let alone skipping class, even if we sleep in class, it's fine."
Ying Ye Zhenshi explained himself.
Although the students in Class B found it very weird, they still found him a spot, having Ying Ye Zhenshi squeeze in with a thin male classmate of theirs.
Even Chie Hoshinomiya, the homeroom teacher of class B, didn't have intentions of driving him away.
Class B became the only class that allowed him to sit in the classroom.
They were very friendly.
"Come and hang out when you have time."
Even when the class was finally over, they saw him off l very warmly.
"I will definitely come, I will come. See you later, Ichinose-san."
It was rare for him to choose to remember other people's names, and there were quite a few names he would call accurately in that class.
After learning about that class's situation, Ying Ye Zhenshi didn't stay long and left.
"Hoshinomiya-sensei, what's going on?"
Ichinose Hoonami watched Ying Ye Zhenshi leave and then looked directly at her homeroom teacher who hadn't left yet.
The person she asked would surely know something.
"Sensei doesn't know anything. Maybe he was bullied out of his class. I'll ask later."
Hoshinomiya Chie lied through her teeth effortlessly.
And with that perfunctory response, only the bunch of good-natured students in Class B believed her.
"Then, please ask his teacher. If he is being bullied to the point where he dares not go back to his own class, that's a bit too much. It's only the first day of school as well."
Ichinose Honami had an inkling that something wasn't quite right, but she didn't what it was.
Chie Hoshinomiya smiled and left the classroom without saying a word.
'This year, it seems that there are some pretty good talents around. He will probably bring an end to the harmonious and friendly atmosphere of Class B.'
Ying Ye Zhenshi eventually arrived at Class C and found that he had stepped into some sort of dangerous place.
"Is this a class full of punks? Hey, guys, do I need to call a doctor for you? What's going on with you all?"
Ying Ye Zhenshi looked at the many Class C students with bruises and swollen faces, especially the boys, and several of them appeared to have been beaten quite badly.
The hostility to his presence was much greater than the other two.
And his criminal senses were going off in this class.
It made Ying Ye Zhenshi want to join them.
'They should have lost a lot of points because of whatever happened though.'
"Oi bastard, who are you? Get out of here or else."
In the disagreeable class, several people cursed at Ying Ye Zhenshi.
Also, they looked like they were about to get handsy with him, but they weren't able to because the bell rang for class, and Kazuma Sakagami, the homeroom teacher of class C, came.
Or at least, that should have been the case.
But when he arrived, he just stared at Ying Ye Zhenshi viciously, as if wanting to blow him up.
But Ying Ye Zhenshi had long been immune to such deterrence.
Standing at their door indifferently, he observed the class.
Class C just so happened to be the class that was most similar to class D.
There were many problem students in this class, and it was clearly a gathering place for bad guys.
He didn't misjudge the class.
And like earlier, as soon as the bell rang signifying the end of class, Ying Ye Zhenshi ran away.
After making such a fuss in the first year, the afternoon was basically over.
And he had gained a general understanding of the situation in the first year of this school.
In terms of giftedness, most of the students in Class A were indeed societal elites with many perfect qualities.
They would probably not be aware of the school's rules, but even so, they were very self-disciplined, and their learning prowess would not be weak from what he had observed.
Even if he sneaked into their class and messed around just now, not many people were affected by him and listened to the teacher diligently.
Moreover, from the first day, it was pretty clear that someone like a class monitor had already been selected.
Then the students of class B could be considered of the next level, with intermediate-level discipline skills.
They were individuals with a lot of potential at the very least.
Their learning capability was also good, and they had selected a leader on their first day.
Then there was Class C and Class D.
'They're like two garbage dumps.'
Although he didn't really want to say this about his class, in reality, that was indeed the case.
Compared to the previous two classes, their class was like a dump.
They would definitely have a lot of their class points deducted.
Ying Ye Zhenshi doubted some of the people in his class to the extent that he felt, that even if they knew that they would have points deducted by the school for messing around, which would affect their future monthly income, many of them would still carelessly mess around.

Could people quickly change their bad habits after being informed of the point deductions?
In Ying Ye Zhenshi's opinion, the probability of this happening was very small.
In addition, if there were some people who were misbehaving, it was even more unlikely for the behaving few not to be influenced and start messing around again.
"I have to think of a way to get out…"
Otherwise, he would feel quite uncomfortable being bound to these individuals in his class.
Ying Ye Zhenshi finally returned to the Class D classroom.
And in there were, rather unexpectedly, still people who had not yet left.
Those who hadn't left yet looked at him, very surprised.
This was the individual who had disappeared all afternoon.
The teacher hadn't called him out on it in the class, but naturally, they found out since his desk was empty.
The students in class D messed around by not focusing in class or sleeping in class, but no one had the balls to skip class on the first day of formal education at ANHS.
It made the students remaining in class D give him a look as if to say- "You are so brave".
And Kushida-san just so happened to be one of the students left in the class.
"Ying Ye-san, where did you go this afternoon? You haven't been to class all afternoon, and as classmates of yours, we were very worried about you. Is there something wrong?"
With a concerned expression on her face, Kikyo Kushida approached Ying Ye Zhenshi.
She had thought that this man would never show up today, but he suddenly appeared.
"Nothing happened. I just got lost on the road of life, and then found myself in the wrong class."
Ying Ye Zhenshi explained with a serious tone.
"Huh? Wrong class?"
His waffling about getting lost on the road of life was directly ignored by Kushida Kikyo.
"To be specific, I went to a few wrong classes."
Ying Ye Zhenshi spoke.
He didn't mention anything about his time at the other classes since there was no need.
"That is too..."
Kushida Kikyo didn't even know how to react to what he said.
"Since that happened, would you like me to accompany you around the school from now on?"
She changed what she was going to say and extended an invitation to guide him around.
As for her invitation, Ying Ye Zhenshi directly refused, not wanting to be a burden on her.
"No, I've already taken note of the route, and I won't remember the way wrong tomorrow. I'm sorry to have troubled you, Hanada-san. I'll be going now."
With his habitual use of the wrong name, he attempted to run away before she could respond.
"My name isn't Hanada. I'm Kushida Kikyo, and someone from the student council came to see you today. What happened?"
Kushida Kikyo mentioned something else that got him listening though.
As for being referred to by the incorrect name, she was already used to it, and she didn't believe he couldn't remember her name after that many corrections.
'This Ying Ye Zhenshi… If he isn't pulling this stunt to attract me, then he's the type of guy who likes men. Dead pervert! Brainless pervert!'
"Student Council?"
Ying Ye Zhenshi looked at his phone all of a sudden.
Because he had gone to spy on the other classes, it was muted.
There were indeed calls and text messages on it.
It mentioned something about the second years' apology.
It wasn't because he was an absentee from class and that he was being punished by the student council.
Just as he thought, even if he skipped classes openly, his class's points would be deducted, but no one would care about him playing truant.
He sent a message back to the student councillor who texted him and made an appointment to meet up tomorrow.
He would accept the face-to-face apology from the second-year senpai.
After solving the issue at hand, he looked at Kushida Kikyo who was still standing in front of him.
"Well then, thank you, Kushida-san. I've already sorted out the matter."
Ying Ye Zhenshi pretended not to notice her curious gaze as she tried to push him into telling her what had happened.
Without looking back, he took his things and decided to run away.
The person who cooks the rice cooks the soul of the meal. [T/N: Idiom that probably means something along the lines of, if he begins to answer one question/curiosity of hers, it'll be a downward spiral of answering her curiosities.]
He went to eat, leaving the girl behind.
Kushida Kikyo stood there, watching his retreating form with a resentful expression on her face, and stomped her feet angrily.
If she had a death note, she would have wanted to add one more person to her notebook.
In the canteen, while he was eating…
Ying Ye Zhenshi happened to meet his classmate Yosuke Hirata, who was the one with an astronomical communication ability.
The guy had obviously come here specifically to look for him.
Appearing while Ying Ye Zhenshi was eating was a tip-off.
"Ying Ye-san, is there anything going on that kept you from attending class all afternoon? If you need help with anything, you can find me."
For the withdrawn and introverted students, Hirata paid close attention to them and displayed a soft and sunny smile while interacting with them.
It felt like the female version of Kushida Kikyo had appeared before Ying Ye Zhenshi.
"Oh, I just got lost on the road of life and went to the wrong class."
His answer was the same as before.
When Ying Ye Zhenshi looked at Hirata, he neither felt humiliated nor angry by the ambiguous answer at all.
"If you need any help, you must come find me. You are welcome in the class. I don't want to be nosy, so I won't ask too much. I just want to be a sincere friend. If a friend of mine needs help, I will be happy to help."
Hirata-san spoke in an easy-going tone.
After talking for a while, he proposed to exchange contact information.
After getting Ying Ye Zhenshi's contact information, he chose to leave without disturbing the eating student any further.
He was a very moderate and careful individual.
Seeing that there was a new contact saved on his mobile phone, Ying Ye Zhenshi didn't ponder over it much.
And then he left after having finished his meal.
[T/N: Daily reminder that nice guys always finish last.]
