Chapter 94: Nightling Dafodaids

"I hope you are ready," Clyde said to Evelyn. He had not left her side since they got to the medicinal wing and he could sense her anxiety as they sat there sipping tea. 

Evelyn sighed, "I think I am, but I cannot be too sure. What if I cannot heal them all?" She asked.

"No one expects that you will be able to heal them all," he said. "They only hope that you will be able to help in any way that you can."

"I know that," she sighed. "But I just worry that I will not be able to do everything they are hoping I can."

Clyde leaned forward in his seat, "you have nothing to worry about," he said as he patted her knee.

Evelyn shivered from his touch. It sent a chill down her spine and she smiled, feeling calmer just from his touch. "I will do what I can," she declared.

"I never doubted that," Clyde said. He pulled a flask from his pocket and took a sip. 

"What is that?" Evelyn asked.

"You do not want to know," he said.
