Chapter 86: A Bear's Mate

Max was nervous as he approached the border of Eastondrone. This was his first assignment visiting another shifters' territory and he had no small task to accomplish. He was surprised to find a number of shifters working the border control.

"Stop," a large dark skinned male called out from the tree line. 

Max put his hands up, "I come under the instruction of Alpha Arthur Gauthier to speak with your alpha!" He shouted, though he knew they would be able to hear him just fine even if he whispered it. "I have news of the children that were taken," he said.

The large male came forward and inspected his person, patting him down for any weapons that Max may have had on him. Fortunately, he had left his good knives at home. "Follow me," the large man said.
