Chapter 27: Melting the tension.

Perse wasn't one to be left speechless. Sure, she wasn't very talkative. In fact, half the time she didn't even want to talk, but this wasn't one of those times. She had plenty to say about the man casually sitting in front of her. But when her mouth parted in utter shock, no words came out.

He glanced at her for a second, his usual carefree smirk already forming on his lips, like he had already forgotten that she was mad at him. And then without hesitation, he reached across the table and helped himself to her abandoned ice cream. Completely oblivious to her shock or choosing to straight up ignore it, he took a spoonful of her ice cream.

"Hey! I was eating that!" Perse blinked, her nose flaring in annoyance as her eyes snapped up to his in disbelief.
