Chapter 19: Early Star rank stage
Zeras slowly opened his eyes and he was greeted by the white color of the ceiling.
He slowly sat up from the ground when a terrible odor suddenly slammed on his nose, making him tightly pinch them together.
Looking for the source of the odor, he saw a dark muddy paste around him and also covered in blood he immediately stood up in disgust and ran to the bathroom.
Taking a fresh shower and rinsing himself from the impurities, Zeras felt more than alive as he wrapped a towel around himself and got out back to the room.
The floor was covered in dark impurities and blood, making him quickly go to work.

20 minutes later...
Zeras stood there with a vacuum cleaner in hand as he stared at the now sparkling room.
He took a deep breath in when his face suddenly changed as he felt there was something different about the air.
Closing his eyes and concentrating, he saw different multi-colored particles drifting in the air, and he was shocked and speechless.
"Just what are these? Mana?" Never had Zeras felt the surroundings were so beautiful. There were different colors of particles, red, blue, brown, golden, green, and dark drifting around the air, and some even past his skin.
His eyes revealed a happy glint as this could only mean one thing, he succeeded in finally awakening.
Immediately sitting down crosslegged, Zeras sent his consciousness to his Mana core and he was shocked by what he saw.
In the formerly dark place, a bright star could be seen, radiating with a powerful dark glow that shone in the dark place.
The dark light was like beams piercing through the darkness, creating a strange phenomenon of the darkness being illuminated by a beam of dark light.
Zeras concentrated on his Mana core as he saw only a quarter of the core was radiating the dark light and the remaining didn't radiate anything and Instead looked empty.
He nodded his head as he finally confirmed. This was just the way things were supposed to go.
One would only be called an awakened if one could sense Mana in the environment.
To become an early star rank awakened, one would have at least a quarter[1/4] of his or her core filled up with Mana.
2/4 means Middle Star rank, 3/4 means Late Star rank, and 4/4 means Peak Star rank or Pseudo Meteor rank.
Looking at Zera's core, it was already filled to a quarter depicting him to be at the Early Star rank stage.
Zeras exited from the space as his heart began beating in expectation.
When one stepped into the Early Star rank stage. They will awaken a new ability. Every Major rank will cause a new genetic ability to be awakened.
A system notification immediately appeared in front of him:
[Congratulations, A source of cultivation has been created for Host Human Gene.]
[Host Human Gene 'Absolute Morph Gene' has been upgraded to an E-grade gene.]
[Host genetic ability 'Morph' has been upgraded to a new gene.]
A happy smile bloomed on Zeras's face upon hearing the notification as he called out his system interface and went to the Genetic Skills tab:

Zera's mouth opened widely as he stared unbelievably at the genetic ability.
To change other's appearance.
"System, is this...is this true?" Zeras just to confirm.
[It is. The host has awakened a new genetic ability of his human genome which is Biomorph. This genetic ability grants Host the ability to change his appearance to that of others.
But there are very great limitations, such as massive amounts of energy required and the target physiological difference of to host, which might make mimicry difficult.]
The system replied, quelling his excitement.
Zeras ignored the grumpy AI, as he went to the bathroom and stood before the mirror. Looking at the mirror, he closed his eyes as he tried to imagine a person he could shapeshift into.
The Base Head he fought with immediately appeared in his head as Zeras imprinted the memory of the man's face into his head and willed to transform.
An unbelievable thing occurred as Zeras slowly watched his face change to that of Chris as small beards slowly grew out of his chin.
His body slowly increased as he became even more chubby, his height slowly growing to around 1.8 meters.
Now standing in front of the mirror was a chubby dark-haired man with a beard.
Zeras touched his face and even the beard as he noticed everything was real.
"This...This..." He choked on his face in surprise when a peal of devilish laughter rang out in the bathroom.
"With the power to Shapeshift into others appearance. Just what kind of trouble would he get into."
Zeras stood there watching his new form when a notification suddenly appeared in front of him.
