"The night is cold and so is me. I'm nothing now, the life I know, I wanna get it totally ruined." She said and rubbed her arms slowly as a drop of tears trickled down her cheek and it fell down.
A guy who was trying to sneak in stood in the shadows of her balcony and felt something drop on his cheeks.
"Are these tears?" He asked himself and looked up, then he spotted the girl who was crying silently at the balcony. "Who is she and why is she crying?" Those answers would only get answered if he approached her.
This guy had the intention of giving Damian a surprise visit but now it looked like he'd have to change his course of visit and approach the girl.
He had a white mask with blue lines at the edge and it had the shape of an eagle. He also wore a white hat with blue lines at the edges, so let's say he's a fan of blue and white. Same with his hair and his cape. He also wore shite gloves.
This stranger climbed up Ivy's balcony and jumped up, he landed right in front of her, giving her a big shock.
"Who are you?" Ivy asked, frightened but he only moved closer to her.
"Who are you?" He asked in return.
"Who am I? You're the intruder here. I'm going to scream." She wanted to make an attempt to scream but he took hold of her wrist, dragged her closer and covered her mouth. She tried to struggle free but couldn't.
"Relax and don't scream. You called me with your tears." He said smiling and she blinked twice. "I'll let go if you promise not to scream." He said and she calmed down, so he let go of her.
"I don't understand, what does me crying have to do with you coming here?" Ivy asked, confused.
'I can't tell her my purpose.' He thought and smiled. "Just take me as your mystery guardian." He said making it sound mystic.
"Mystery guardian? Please, I'm not 10." She rolled her eyes.
"However you take it, I'll still ask: what makes such a pretty girl like you cry?" He asked.
"Pft, he says pretty girl." She said in a low tone but he heard it anyway. "It's no big deal. It's a habit." She said,
"So you just felt like crying?" He asked and she nodded. 'Such a silly lie. There's clearly something bothering her. Time will tell.' he thought.
Damian kept pacing his room, up and down. He was contemplating whether to approach Ivy and see how she was doing or not. His pride was getting in the way.
"She'll push me away. I can't leave there humiliated again." He said to himself. "But then again, she might be asleep, I'll just check up on her." He concluded and went to her room, but just before he opened the door, he heard talking. "Is she still awake? Who's she talking to?"
"What can I do for you as a faithful mystery guardian," he offered, bowijg his head, "... milady?" He added and she laughed.
"Though it's silly, you've managed to make me laugh. What else can you do?" She asked with a smile and he smiled in return. At this point, he was sitting on the bars, facing the door and her.
"Close your eyes and I'll do something crazy." He said and she calmly obeyed. Just as he was about to carry out his thoughts, he saw the doors open and quickly fell backwards.
Ivy heard a sudden flap of his cape and opened her eyes to see he was already gone. She sighed.
"Like the saying goes," she once again leaned on the bars and placed a hand on her cheeks feeling tired, "... all good things must come to an end. Who was he anyway?"
"Who are you talking to?" Damian asked and she turned to look at him. Her context changed immediately but she tried not to lose her temper on him.
"No one." She answered.
"So you're foolish and now going mad?" She really wasn't okay!
"Whatever you think of me doesn't matter now. Why are you in my room at this time anyway?" She asked, showing an indifferent side.
"This is my house. I can go wherever I want…" he stepped closer. "...whenever I want." He boasted.
"Can you please give me privacy at least? I'm a lady afterall." She requested hoping he would at least look at it at an angle of her being female and him male.
"Why? Is there something you're hiding? Or perhaps someone?" He asked with the motive of tempting her.
"You know that's impossible. I can't bring anyone here. I need to change my clothes please." She said.
"Change. I'll just sit here." He said and sat on the chair not too far.
'Is he serious? What does he think of himself?' she felt really annoyed and irritated. "You know what?" She walked to her bed. "I'll just sleep like this."
"I don't see anything wrong in what you're wearing." He said.
"It's a night gown anyway." She said.
"Or did you want to change into something more sexy just to impress me?"
