Chapter 52: Be The Heir to RX Jewelries
After exchanging pleasantries, Rebecca ended the call with a small smile on her face.
When she turned and saw Emma's expression, she burst into laughter. "I know, I know you're confused but don't worry. I'll explain everything to you on our way out."
Rebecca pulled Emma towards a nearby cushion and began to recount the events that had transpired over the years, starting from her rough marriage with Nathaniel to the betrayal she had faced from the Blackwoods.
She explained to Emma about the shares Mrs. Anastasia had gifted her and the impending meeting with Mrs. Georgina Blackwoods.
Emma listened intently, her brows furrowed in concern as Rebecca detailed the challenges she was facing.
"I'm so sorry, you had to go through all these Aunt Becca. I never even knew you were going through all this all by yourself." Emma said.

Daniel: *clears throat nervously* Uh, author? Can I have a word?
Me: *whips head toward Daniel, eyebrows raised* Oh, what now?! Planning to drown me in my own novel again, are we?
Daniel: No, no, it's not that. It's just... well, Rebecca's been hogging the spotlight for ages. Don't you think it's time to shine some light on the rest of us?
Me: *narrows eyes at Daniel* Oh, I see how it is, Mr. Male lead. So just because you're the male lead in ONE story, other characters can't be lead characters?! Huh?! Mr Spotlight Hoarder!!
Daniel: interrupts quickly Spotlight Hoarder? That's not even a thing!
Me: Oh, it's a thing, alright! Just like how you conveniently forget about your co-stars when it's time to share the limelight!
Daniel: But the readers love me!
Me: *rolls eyes* Oh, please. You and your "charming" smile and arrogant CEO vibe can only get you so far.
Daniel: Fine, fine. But can we at least keep it interesting? I don't want to bore the readers to death.
Me: Bore them? Ha! As if! And where were you when your co-stars tried to drown me in plot twists and character arcs? Huh? Not a word from Mr. Leading Man then!
Daniel: *coughs awkwardly and avoids eye contact* I checked online and that is what the readers also want!!
Me: W..w.well, I'm not doing this because you told me to, I'm just doing it because of the precious readers who are more loving and caring and....
Readers: If you don't start writing some lead character themed chapters, you're going to see just how creatively loving we can be. *brandishes power stones menacingly*
Me: *gulps and sweats nervously* Oh, come on, guys! Can't we all just get along? I promise I'll throw in some lead character moments! Just put those powerstones down before someone gets hurt!
