Resigning to fate, he helped her sleep straight on the bed and adjusted the duvet to cover her properly. When he was satisfied with her sleeping arrangement, he got into the bed and laid down beside her before texting Ruthlyn.

[We will get the dress tomorrow...By the way, you can come upstairs since it looks like nothing will be happening tonight.]

He punctuated his message with a crying emoji, which made Ruthlyn laugh when she saw it.
