Chapter 5: The new system
What, what, what!? Is this real!? Damn, do I really have a system!? Wait... How does dying fit into this? As I pondered what to do, the system interface changed.

My heart was pounding. I've just gone back in time, and now I have a system that can kill me if I don't do what it wants... This is not the time to think about it. Let's listen to the message first. I took a deep breath to calm myself and pressed the button to listen.
And there, a male voice different from the system's robotic voice spoke in my head.
[ Hello, Earthling. I know my words may seem strange to you, even impossible to comprehend, even though you've experienced enough strange things until now. Let me introduce myself first. My name is Atoun. I am not like you, nor like the beings you may have encountered so far. I come from a higher dimension, a realm beyond the understanding of your world.
I interfered with the system you should have had. I manipulated time to bring you back to the past. That thing, the future genius, no longer exists, so other civilizations won't have the chance to advance. I opened breaches and created rifts in your reality. You are now on the threshold of discovering the real world, of breaking out of the matrix in which you have lived for millennia.
However, there is a condition. I cannot bring you directly into the real world. You must do it yourselves. You must evolve, not only spiritually but technologically. You must reach a level of knowledge and understanding sufficient to manipulate the forces of reality. You must master technology, science, and use these skills to open the door to the real world.
It's a colossal challenge, I know. But you have the potential to become an advanced civilization, capable of understanding the mysteries of the cosmos and controlling the forces that surround you.
The host of this system is you. You are the one chosen to lead your people to this future. You bear the knowledge, the power, and the responsibility to guide your civilization to this new horizon. It's a heavy burden, but it's also an unprecedented opportunity.
You will have the missions you would have had in the old system, in addition to the new ones I have created myself. I am quite weak now, we will talk again if you manage to survive. ]
