Chapter 69: Charlie couldn't control himself

Time passed so quickly; we watched Freya walk towards the altar alone, carrying flowers. She looked stunning in her white dress with bare shoulders, adorned with a delicate lace veil. Her hair was elegantly styled, and a radiant smile graced her face. She appeared so joyful. Then, my attention shifted to Mr. Benjamin; it seemed he was wiping his eyes. Perhaps tears of happiness or maybe moved by seeing his bride walk alone without her parents to escort her.

"Oh, I can't bear to see this!" Sandra's voice diverted my attention. She quickly held onto Jacob's chest, as if unable to witness such a touching moment.

"If she were a cunning girl, I wouldn't allow her to be part of this family," Charlie whispered. Instantly, I turned to him; his face seemed tense, his hands clenched.

I immediately grasped his hand. "You can't keep looking at her with such animosity," I whispered.
