"How can I not be sad?" I asked with a faint smile. "He's even worse than Roger... You must realize that... he invited me to be in a relationship, possessive, and much more, but I mean nothing to him..."
"That doesn't matter, Angel..." Kate shifted her position so we were facing each other, and then she held my hand. "You can't measure someone's love based on a relationship. Wouldn't it be better to be loved and cherished by a man who is always there for you, rather than being treated poorly by your boyfriend or fiancé... Like Darren?"
