Chapter 10: Chapter 9: Fourth Legacy Quest

I walk over to the next pedestal with my Timbers shivering. Now when I say I am dreading this next encounter I mean it. I am absolutely terrified at what I am about to face. When I reach the podium I am able to see every detail on it.
The podium is made of three different wood materials. The left side is made of a redwood like material, the left a blue Mahoe like color, and in the middle is an African Blackwood. As I step closer to it I start to feel the insane pressure it is giving off. The pressure is so intense that it nearly brings me to my knees. I quickly think about what story behind this podium.
"He is the posthumous overarching protagonist of the Devil May Cry franchise. He was a mighty demon swordsman who is known as the Legendary Dark Knight. Two thousand years prior to modern times, he "woke up to justice" and defeated Mundus and his legions alone. When sealing the netherworld, sensing his power had grown too strong, he intentionally sealed himself and his own demonic power in as well. Sparda would continue to influence the human world with his presence, such as when he reigned as Feudal Lord of Fortuna and, before his disappearance, married Eva, who gave birth to his twin sons, Dante and Vergil."
After finishing my history rant the power begins to pressure me even more than before. I am nearly brought to my knees again, but I somehow managed to keep my footing.
I struggled to say, "Sparda."
When i say his name I see a dark maroon red portal wreathed in fire open in front of me and the pressure seemed to disappear, but I knew better. The pressure was still there. It was all around me, just above my skin. It made my skin crawl and my hair stand. I step through and I find myself in an old Victorian house. I look around and I notice three men, all with white slicked back hair. The man on the left is wearing a long red coat with a blue shirt, black leather pants with matching black leather cowboy boots, a gold belt buckle, and a long sword with a skull where the blade meets the hilt. Opposite to him, on the right, is a man wearing the exact same outfit in a deep sea blue color with a sheathed katana at his side. In the middle of these two is an old yet handsome man with blue eyes, a youthful face, and slicked-back white hair. He has on a purple Victorian outfit with a white cravat, a large red jewel around his neck, and a monocle over his left eye.
I say to them, "Dante, Vergil, and Sparda. Also know as 'The legendary demon swords.' It is truly an honor to meet you three."
Dante laughs at this and Vergil look at me with a calculating eye.
Sparda says in a Victorian accent, "Lets get this over with shall we? Your task is simply to withstand our killing intent for twenty minutes. Simple enough right?"

Looking at the quest I am starting to regret my decision and look at my status.

I fake a confident smile and say, "When do we start?"
Sparda smiles and says, "It already has. It started when you approached the podium. You just got use to Dante's demonic pressure. Now Vergil will pressure you with his as well."
When he said this the pressure I had felt when I was at the podium came crashing down onto me with full force. My knees bent from the immense weight that the combined pressure of the two were putting on my. My head nearly hit the floor but I grit my teeth and managed to stay on my feet. I slowly rise to my full height of 4'9 and smile at them to antagonize them.
Dante looks shocked for a moment and laughs saying, "This kids got guts that rival even my own!"
Just as I start to get use to the new pressure I hear sparda say, "My turn."
Once again I nearly crash into the floor, but this time I can't seem to stand up. Instead of fighting a loosing battle I decide to use one of my abilities.
I yell in a strained voice, "D-Dragon fear!"
When I say the name of my ability I feel a rush of energy build inside me. I focus on that energy inside me and push it outward. When I do my eyes dilate, then contract and a purplish aura explodes out of me and clashes with the demonic pressure around me. It starts off as a small dome around me, but it begins to slowly grow outwards. As the seconds pass by it begins to transform into the shape of a purple dragon head. The three demon swordsman jump to their feet in shock and try to put even more pressure on me, but I just push beck even more.
After what felt like forever I hear Sparda say, "Alright. You have passed the test."
I feel the pressure around me disappear and as I reign in my own pressure, I fall to a knee and pant heavily and the system gives me the completion message.

I say my thanks and leave to finish the last legacy quest. When I pass through the portal a red demonic circle appears on my right hand and I hear the system update the battle quest.
