Chapter 123: The A Team

After we dropped off Oksana at school we decided to stop by a cafe. Pa always raved about it since he always got his favourite green matcha oat milk latte there. We ordered our drinks and a few side plates before we sat down at the back in the corner where hopefully not too many people would recognise us with our platinum hair. 

"I was thinking, you know how all of us come in and out and Dad always says we see the house as a hotel," Vasilisa started, "that maybe we should do something fun just to reconnect you know. We haven't really hung out as a family for a long time and I think Dad would really appreciate it."

I nodded understanding her point of view. Since I had arrived in London I had been sneaking out to go see Ethan, flown to Russia, came back to sneak back to Ethan then went to Trinidad. In reality I really was using the house as some hotel if you thought about it from Dad's perspective.
