Chapter 57: No Vasilisa

"So are you going to tell me where you've been these past few days?" Vasilisa raised her eyebrow as she placed her cup down, "Dad was so upset. He didn't want to tell me what happened."

I wrung my hands together as I laid down on the couch and placed my feet on the arm rest. I knew how she was going to react once I said it so I just enjoyed the few seconds of silence yet before I could even utter a word she stood up from the couch to stand next to me. She roughly took my left in hers and gawked at the massive ring on my finger. 

"What the hell?" she screamed, "Oh please no, don't tell me you snuck off to Russia and got married to Malia!"

I blinked in utter bafflement before I snorted, "Of course not."

"Why did you say it like that!" she beamed. 

"How did I say it?"
