My heart fell to my stomach as the sound of the door slamming rang in my head over and over again. Ethan was pissed, there was no denying that and I did not blame him. He probably did not understand why I was all over him but unable to leave Malia alone. 

The universe knows that if things were simple, I would have flown to Russia and tried my best to explain the situation to Malia and broke it off with her with as delicate care as I could. Yet now I could not because I would look like the biggest jerk in the world for breaking up with a pregnant woman. 

My guilty thoughts were interrupted when the phone rang again and I was quick to answer it this time. "Hello," I tried to keep my voice light and happy but it almost came out strained and alienatic.
