He stopped speaking as her cold eyes looked into his. He opened his mouth and his lips moved, but it was as if there was an iron grip on his neck. 

Fortunately for him, he didn't have to feel this way for much longer.

Lanying quietly accepted the herbal soup from him, finishing it in one gulp.

Yan Hao's legs were about to give away, even without accepting the empty bowl he left with hurried footsteps.
