Chapter 48: That Night

Changmin paused near the door. Lanying was leaning against the bed frame, fiddling a small piece of fabric in her hand. Her hair slightly wet, and her complexion rosy. He glanced at the cup in his hand.

He didn't realise that he was already hesitating. 

"How are you feeling now?" 

Lanying looked up. With a wry smile, she replied, "Better."

"You can start training from tomorrow onwards. It will take a while for your primordial spirit to heal again and for the seal to be opened."

He knew this was the only way to make her want to live and look forward to living. 

As expected, her eyes that appeared to be devoid of any hope just a while ago were now glinting with a newfound will. 

"This is?" She asked, pointing at the cup in his hand. 

"This…My sister sent this for you when she came across me. She was worried that you didn't have anything since morning. She can be a little troublesome from time to time, don't worry about it."
