Chapter 31: Lighting Up Her Dull World

Lanying sighed as she pushed open the quarter door. It was exhausting. Social interactions weren't her thing indeed. She felt like she needed to rest urgently. Just asking Senior the pressing question made her nervous. And then that man….She couldn't deny that his skills were impressive.

But she felt an impenetrable sense of danger from him. It was as if under the charming flirtatious persona something far more darker was hiding from the eyes of everyone else. 

She still felt her mood feel a bit better as she was reminded of his speech in the ceremony hall. 

She waved her hand in the air a few times before the dark room was finally lit up with a warm yellow light comfortable to the eyes.

Changing into her night dress, she pulled the seat by the window and went to pick up the scrolls inside the camphor chest.
